Most aggressive offset + width on 18's w/out rollin fenders?
«

I'm asking the question while looking around for a set of rims for my car....
I want to know what is the most aggressive offset and width to have on both 18's and 19's without having to roll fenders? forgot to ask the best tire size to go with it too.
I am currently lowered on tein ssp's..so i can adjust height and stiffness as needed to make it work. i want minimal rubbage and camber wear...what are your recommendations? besides the 18x8.5 +45 offset

Width and offset will both play a factor into how aggressive you can get. But that depends on how wide of a tire you want to run.
If you want to run a wider tire, then you'll want a wider wheel, but will need to get a higher offset. You can get lower offsets by getting thinner wheels, but won't be able to get wider tires.
What do you want out of it? More performance with a flush look?
Are you willing to slightly stretch tire? Are you willing to adjust camber a little bit?
Why the hesitance to roll fenders?

I want the performance with the aggressive flush look.
Hesitant about rolling fenders because I never know if one day I wanna part out n go back to stock or sell the car. Or even screw up like many amateurs who end up havin cracks in their fenders with paint chipping off. I don't think I would be doing any tire stretching. I understand the whole thing about wider rims and offset. But I'm curious to the best setup you all have experienced with that requires minimal adjustment. Or would fit right in with what I have now and give me the performance and flush look.

There are many benefits to rolling fenders when you get aggressive wheel fitment. Not only do you roll them to fit, you benefit from the risk of damage to the fender from the tire. Not to mention, they help you to prevent rubbing.
As for amateurs rolling fenders, don't let an amateur roll your fenders. Have it done by someone with experience. Make sure they use a fender roller. Don't use a baseball bat.
The reason I asked about tire stretch, is because a slight stretch (but still within the range of wheel width for the tire) with the proper tire and fitment can heed increased performance results.
You don't get flush fitment without rolling fenders. And if you fit aggressive wheels, and just enough to clear your fender lip, you're risking potential damage to the fender. And yes, people still tear their fender with aggressive fitment and rolled fenders, it just depends how aggressive the setup is.
Keep in mind, aggressive fitment changes how you drive your car. It's not just the typical, I'm driving a lowered car, type of driving.
In my honest opinion, if you want better performance, look for wider wheels that will let you fit a wider tire and pick a really good tire for increased performance. You'll need to pick a higher offset to clear the fender lip though.

Well it looks like I will have to find a pro fender roller first in that case.
Then I will have to skip over that hard ship.
My car is a daily driver in an all season climate with some snow so I don't want to go through all that extremity. Looks like I'll just save all this aggressive look and performance for my next ride and just stick to the stocks or at least 18x8.5 +45 setup if I get wheels for this one.... There goes that plan.

Gen's car is on 350Z rims which are 18x8 +30. Lowered on Neuspeed Race springs there's no rubbing front or rear with no fender mods. Keep in mind though that the camber isn't fixed since the drop.

Well I have the ingalls rear camber kit installed with my coilovers. My alignment is checked and tweaked as needed. So I'm good as far as that goes.
It's good to know that with that drop and setup he has no issues, I need to peep out how it looks again and I'll keep those specs in mind. And I need to find out what size tires its running on too.

I think the other thing that you need to be conscious of, is that the coupes are capable of running lower offsets than the sedans. As much as I hate to say it, check out JT's threads. He's a major wheel whore, and went berzerk with all the hellaflush bullshit. He probably went through like 10 sets of wheels in the past year, so you can look at what he did to see if there's anything that you like that will actually fit and be safe.

It's all a matter of what you like and how much you're willing to spend. Which wheels have you been looking at?

My Gf votes for the ekm3. Now I need to determine the spec for rims n tires cuz im more likely to get those. You can view how low my car is sitting from my profile pics.
