I am debating on getting a set of lowering springs in a few weeks whenever my text money gets here. The problem is that i would like to keep the factory shocks/struts. MY question is how low of springs could i go without having to upgrade the shocks/struts? thanks for you input.

You can put any springs you want on without having to upgrades the struts. We had the Tein S tech's which dropped about 1.8 in the rear and like 2 in the front. Maybe vice versa, it's been a while. However eventually you'll have to upgrade the struts due to the increased stress they'll be under. I would give it 6-12 months before you have to replace em. And you'll most likely need a rear camber kit even with springs, we didnt but most have needed the camber kit though.

Thank you. I am looking at either the tanabe 210 springs or the Tein H-tech springs.

Yeah after looking at Tein's website the S tech's will drop 1.8FR and 1.3Rear. The H tech's drop 1.2FR and .7 rear.

If you want a great drop that wont destroy your stock shocks and still look awesome. Go with Sprint

Well to be honest you're thought process is somewhat flawed.  Instead of paying somebody to install the springs and camber kit and then having to replace the struts (which will essentially be 2 full suspension jobs), you should probably just save your money and do the job right the first time.  You'll spend half as much money that way...trust me it will be worth it if you wait.

I shouldn't be one to talk. I am running eBay Coilovers on my HFP struts and to me it's been a godsend so far, but everyone's experience is different you know.

I ran ebay drop springs on my old mustang and they rode pretty good with the stock shocks.

The important thing to remember here is that we're all here to learn.  I'm glad that everybody is learning from the discussion.  Everybody has things they'd like to cheap out on or save money on, but you'll eventually learn that you get what you put into whatever you pay for.  I've learned that lesson, so have a lot of other people.  I'm here to try to minimize how many people spend 2x what they need to in order to accomplish what they want.  BTW car looks sexy as always, JT!
