I hope the weather is not too bad for my drive tomorrow. I am now heading back to the theater to deal with 3,353 shit heads.

Piero, I will be completely honest with you. From what I hear on the news, tomorrow will be a horrible day to do this install. On top of that, it's supposed to rain tonight, then freeze, then snow 6-8" on top of that. It may be safer and easier if we waited. I'd rather not put you in harms way just for a simple remote start install.

As Rich explained, I'm now a basic licensed 12 volt installer. Next year I'm going to go for my advanced installer license. I have my first job tomorrow. I'm glad it's a member's car.

When you took the test for the basic license, did you feel that it was kind of easy? Most of my friends thought I was going to do really well, but I expected it to be a bit harder than it was. I found it kind of odd that I had the highest score in the class by a significant margin.
I've also heard that the advanced license test is a little bit harder for people to pass and most people have to take it more than once. My instructor was saying that most people are lax about the test and don't prepare as well. Do you have the advanced license MECP book? Would they promote you to shop manager as an advanced installer and what kind of pay do they get? I really don't plan on staying at the basic level for more than the required year. I'd rather take my advanced test and move forward, instead of another basic test to renew my license and stay at the same level.

actually yea..but the thing is, we are able to take a pretest through best buy computer to get a Voucher so we dont have to pay for the test at the real testing center. i made up a fake username and failed it on purpose so it would give me the answers. i then studied and studied from that..took the pretest under my name, got the voucher and took the test a few days later at a testing center. i got done w/ the test pretty early and i got a 92 on it.

i dont have the book. i'm trying to get it from my coworker because i think he's going for his master test soon. there is no "shop manager" back here. there's a senior and then up from that is our SSM (store services manager) which handles manager duties, making schedules, customer issues, etc. for every time u take the test and pass you get a .50 cent raise but i think when you get masters its a $1 raise.

For all the work you have to put into being a master installer, $1 sucks fat cock.

Well if the first one was as surprisingly easy to others as it was to you then I see why they would take the advanced for granted.
