So today has been fucked up. They called my grandmother from the nursing home to inform her that my uncle had passed away. Which was then relayed to my mother who lost it. I knew this day was coming, just didn't know when. He had been in the nursing home and under the care of hospice for a long while. I'm certain this is difficult for my mom and grand mother as they're having to burry their son/brother.

Thanks. I know this may sound kinda bad, but he is better off. I mean he smoked a pack a day, down from 4 packs a day due to being in the nursing home. He was a doper and would drink himself into a stupor pretty much every day of his life until hospice put him in the nursing home. And since then and a while before then, he was in a lot of pain. It's kinda like why prolong the inevitable?
