Anyone that doesn't fucking follow instructions pisses me off. I can only tolerate so much before I start being an asshole.

Hmmm, I'm starting to like this, lol. If I can get that used Prokit off Jellynuts (if he ever gets back online), then get the ingalls camber kit off ultrarev (that'll end up costing more than the springs
), I should be able to lower my car for less than ~$250.
Hey Jeff, if you will purchase the kit from UltraRev, I might be able to get the part(s) for you for a cheaper price than them. PM me if interested.

So the Storm finally has a song id thing like the Iphone and other phones if any of you Storm users havent noticed yet. Either restart your phone or do a battery pull and it will show up at last in the bottom row in the home screen(long ways).

Yeah I think a lot of people including myself found it accidentally due to the phone freezing. Mine has been freezing during incoming phone calls lately. Whatever screen it's on before the call is coming in it's just stuck on and I cant even see who's calling til almost too late.

which is why I opted not to get the storm.. i've heard it freezes constantly, and the doctor where I work had one, it froze on him several times while he was simply checking his email. but damn, I wish my curve had the song ID, my old phone had it and it was so helpful! lol

Does anybody else have one of those jobs where you are constantly talked to by your co-workers? LOL!!! As most know I'm in the car business and I'm one of the managers, I guess one of the cooler ones that everybody likes to talk to and joke around with all the time. Well when stuck here for 12 hours a day of course there's periods of time when I just want to be to myself and read the forums or whatever on the Internet. Doesnt really go down like that. LOL!!! I work with one who in every conversation just ends up asking me questions, stupid and repetitive questions. Another who thinks I have to validify everything he says whether it's a joke or serious. Like after everything he says he'll walk over and be like "right Derrick". And this guy is a 60 year old Iranian/turkish so he barely says my name right and says everything slow. So when he says my name it sounds like "Delllllllickkkkkk". Add all the actual work BS on top of this and I nearly go crazy every day. LOL!!! end rant.

I guess he has money to burn. I'd rather waste my money on parts that actually make my car faster, hookers, and drugs. Fucking amateurs. :

quick question: is there any benefit to tightening the throttle cable? How would I go about doing this if it's even worth it?
In the drivebility and precision departments yes, there's an enormous benefit if you ask me. Unless your gas pedal bopping around doesn't bother you.
1. Turn your car on and let it warm up and NOTE WHERE YOUR NEEDLE SITS, locate the throttle body and look at the top cable to the right of it. [The bottom one is for Cruise Control in case you're wandering]
2. There should be a grade8 colored plate with a tab that the cable goes through. Loosen the nut that sits on top [facing you]
3. Now the nut UNDERNEATH that plate will determine the THROTTLE POSITION. If I remember correctly turn it anti-clockwise to tighten. If you hear your RPMs rise then loosen it a tad.
4. Ultimately you don't want any play in your gas pedal. I preferred mine to react if I barely touched it with my big toe, but that's all persnal preference. YOU tghten it to how much travel YOU want it to have.
I'd take a picture to show you were it's at for a visual but my car turned into a crumpled beer can at midnight. Maybe one of the other members can take a picture of an existing engine bay and pin point the assembly to you.
Good luck!
I tried doing this because I have a dead spot as well. I wasn't able to get the top nut off due to space constraints. Any ideas? I just used an open ended wrench.

Everyone is too busy working. Other than my mandatory 2 15 minute breaks and 45 minute lunch, I basically just work all day long. It's very rare that we get a 2 or 3 minute stretch of time without getting a call. Some people at my job annoy me.

Take the intake manifold cover off, then stick the wrench in between that one tube that's directly over the two cables and the injector base? (Whatever the intake manifold bolts up to). From there you can get the wrench in, turn it a little, then flip the wrench over so you can get more room. After I got it loose I just hand-loosened it. I'd recommend having the car running so you can immediately tell when you've tightened it too much. Just tighten the lower bolt, then pull the whole thing up until the bolt is up against the bracket. If you hear the car rev up, then you have to loosen the lower bolt some.
Edit: Look in my sig. See the tube that's immediately to the right of the IM cover? Once the IM cover is off, stick the wrench in between there.

I apologize in advance, but I must vent out:
I don't understand what the fuck is up with this fucking world. First off you can never have a nice car. It all started Saturday morning when a rock hit my windsheild and caused a nice chip/crack in my windsheild. Then later on some old hag decided to side swipe me. Then while I'm taking down her info she pulls her paperwork out of my hand and takes off. Luckily I was able to write down all the necessary info and now my fucking air conditioning doesn't work. All this just two weeks before a planned 4000+ mile road trip. WTF!!!!
