i've got stock wheels, a NHBP coupe hood, stock headlight shrouds (no reflectors) and a NHBP front bumper. haha

^Some of the stuff the guys are selling are things they'd rather not ship due to shipping cost. So I guess posting it in the local section keeps from people asking about shipping. Beyond that I dont have an answer.

I post in other threads. but I'm not as knowledgeable about certain things, so I can't really respond to nearly anything.  and I was pretty much joking about the things i have.  i'm not selling them because I may need to convert to stock for something.

Derrick, I understand what you're saying.  We do have a FS section for a reason.  If you want to keep your stuff local, then just say that you're not willing to ship in the FS thread.

You have no idea how furious I am about what you just said Bob.  What an arrogant statement.  A lot of us have busted our ass to share technical information to help people modify their cars.  Thanks for the fucking slap in the face man.  I guess we're not good enough for you to associate with because we're not in your clique.

For the record, I'm commenting about the people that ONLY post in this thread.  I'm walking away from this shit before I blow the fuck up.

Wow! Tim I don't think Bob meant that to be offensive. I just think he means he doesn't have a lot of information to share about other technical topics so he just chats with us normally. Anyways theres threads I just don't go in I know cuz I've already passed the point that I need to ask questions in em. Like I don't post in suspension cuz I have most of the info I need and would rather read the posts too.

The way I look at it, is that it's pretty foolish to join just to read/post in only one thread.  It's also pretty arrogant to think that you won't gain anything by reading some of the other threads here.  If you only want to be social, go back to g7a where there isn't really much substance, but lots of mindless chatter.  IMHO, all the regional "squad" threads are just full of babble and regional chatter.  They're nice to have and I have nothing against them.  I post regularly in the NYCM and NECM threads because I'm active in that area.  It would be pretty closed minded for me to ONLY post in those threads.  That's like going to Baskin Robins and always getting vanilla ice cream.  

We created this forum for people to come for technical and performance information that g7a's "will these wheels fit?" and "should I get this body kit?" type of threads couldn't fulfill.  It's pretty sad if you came here only to socialize.  A lot of people put a lot of hard work into this to make sure others could come here to have there questions answered.  It just seems like a huge waste now.

no don't feel like this is a huge waste cuz this is a much better forum and yea as for G7A.2 I only go there to recruit ppl who have some idea of what they're talking about, but to be honest theres a lot of info here and I do try to be mindful of post whoring, especially outside of the regional threads (unlike the fallen) but that's just my .02 on the matter

if i can throw out my opinion on the issue...

tim i can see where you are coming from.. someone who has spent a lot of time putting together this site as a place to share and contribute technical info.. but the regional threads are inevitably going to attract local people that just want to belong to a group of enthusiasts.. and may not have technical info themselves to contribute. but having people around that arent themselves knowledgeable with help to create a stronger community. those who are technically inclined will share and teach more, and eventually those who arent technically inclined will learn. of course there will be exceptions with people who do not care to learn the technical information.. but like blinx said.. the fact that bob (youre the example here) isnt posting in technical threads is better than post whoring and diluting the technical threads. im sure there are a number of people who will join this site and have the same mindset and intentions as bob (to remain social), but will later begin learning or sharing technical information. so to discourage all people who join with that "social only" mindset in order to avoid the potential exception (bob) would  be wrong.
