Hey guys, I know most of us don't scan forums over on Gen7Space, but I came across this and I think we all need to show support for Brian.

Brian's Story

I realize Brian got more into motorcycles and hadn't been active as of late, but its still sad to see a fellow member and friend have to go through something like this.

Hey ladies and gents. I haven't been around the site much in months because I have been really into motocycles this past year I love to ride and it is one of the greatest releases of stress...asside from sex. Well while leaving work on sept 7th, I had a car pull out in front of me. I didn't think much of it...just veered right to avoid them. When I did this though, my back tire hit gravel and sent me up against the curb which began tipping the bike over. Unfortunately for me, there was a tree in my way and I ran into it head first (literally with my head, not the bike) doing about 35mph. The impact shattered my spine and severed my spinal chord. I had a gruesome back surgery last week and the doctors were able to get most of my spine back in tact but the chord itself is beyond repair (at this point.). Luckily, I still have use of my arms,shoulders and parts of my chest but from the stirnum down, I am completely unable to move. I am still sitting in intensive care right now and thankfully, my family brought in this laptop to kill some time. I'm not here to give a sob story...but this is the situation and I have been trying to think of things I will need to do.

My bike obviously has to go. It's actually not in bad shape so I should be ok to sell it. My Accord is the other problem though. I absolutelty love my 6-speed but without 2 legs, I will need to buy an automatic that can be modified to fit my needs. My thought so far is to pick up a 2005-2008 TL for the 4 doors and great styling. I am picky as hell though...must be black on black. IThe Subaru Legacy is on my mind too b/c I love all wheel drive. Chip in your opinions and ideas. I will most likely be selling quite a few of my parts too from the Accord b/c I need all the $ I can get. Anyway, I will be around. See ya!!

Those who were at the mega meet know Brian. he had the black 6speed coupe with sick ass retros.

He is a good guy. It totally sucks to find out about this.

My prayers go out to him for a fast recovery and easy future.

holy shit - thats intense.  almost exactly the same situation happened to a buddy of mine in college who unfortunately will always be paralyzed from the waist down

Wow oh wow. Fucking blows. At least he's staying positive regarding the whole situation (so far as we could tell) and is not letting it hold him down. Props to him for that.

when people buy bikes they should also buy a casket because its only a matter of time before something happens, everyone that i know thats owned a bike have all had some type accidents some bigger and worse than others.....i just lost my cousin 2 weeks ago to a motorcycle accident, he was only 24 yeas old. RIP Manuel Alejandro villasana........ he was a member of the Ruff Riders Biker crew..
