Going into my 2nd week of a muscle building program after losing over 10lbs during my "not so great time" last month. Not a weight lose regiment I would recommend, but I'm using this as an opportunity to build lean muscle. Come to think of it, I skipped dinner for 5/7 days when I was in Jamaica. I've also changed up my diet a little. One chicken breast instead of two for dinner. Protein shake and toast for breakfast. Snack for dinner if I have left overs for lunch. Substitute potatoes for veggie with my steak dinner. Now I just have to resist the snack tray at work and keep getting my sugar from mainly fruits. Oh, also switched to Mic. Ultra. I'm looking at it like this, give up the things you can and substitute the ones you can't.

Thanks man. I think a lot of it has to do with schedule/ habit. Find what works for you and after a few weeks, it's 2nd nature. I'm planning purchase a cardio program as soon as this one is finish.

I agree. Good job Rich!
I have been working on cleaning up my diet lately too. I was really good about it earlier this year, but lately, I've been slacking. I can definitely feel the effect my diet has had on my workouts lately.

Good job Rich! I think my downfall are the weekends. My family and I eat pretty healthy during the week, but the weekends aren't as good. I feel "heavy" by Monday. Something to work on. There's been a lot of good advice coming out of this thread lately

Congrats Rich!
it's not easy! Keep it up! I'm still working on cutting my dinner in half, didn't do so well tonight but at least it was all vegetables
I found a diet app on my phone that sends me reminders and tips throughout the day.

Tomorrow I get back to eating clean and being held accountable for my food journal. Plus, I go back to working with my trainer. I'm excited! Also, a little sad, that I had let myself go and gained a good bit of my weight back.

I've been a biker for years and always hated running/jogging. But since I've moved out here I don't know many people, I don't wanna go mountain biking alone and riding roads has gotten boring... so I figured I'd switch it up to somethin new.

You'll be ok, we have an Irish pub.
The park I'm trying to go work at has MILES of trails from beginner to black diamond(or whatever they rate tough MTB trails). Plus a bunch of other MTB places around here.
