I've found that its a lot easier and more rewarding to set small goals that lead up to your end result goal

I have to learn to do that...I think my standards are too high...I should set smaller goals and be nicer to myself...

best part about setting smaller goals is that you can reward yourself when you achieve them.

...with cake?
I've been slacking again. I keep sleeping in way too late. I went for a run on Saturday and walked a few miles today. I need to get up early tomorrow and go for a run before I start my day. It would be nice to get back into the routine of being active and starting my days early again.

That would require you to not be an insomniac anymore..

It's only 12:30 and it's hard to get up early when you can never be late for work.

I will probably be up today. Since I hadn't really spent much time with my close friends or my mother I rode around with monmouth yesterday and she took me to olive garden for lunch. Then I went out with friends to Logan's I got a meal that's supportive of my diet with the exception of eating bread.

I've lost about 35 now.. No real exercise change just fixing diet.. It was awful before an my body really rejected the changes at first. I literally cut 500 calories from my breakfast. I now drink 0 soda/beer/alcohol, and one energy drink in the AM. I don't drink coffee so I need something. Can you guys suggest a quick and easy lunch to take to work. I literally don't have time to prep anything. I usually buy a sandwich or wrap and a salad from my cafe at work but, I feel I can do better.

80% of weight loss is diet..

Nice! Great job. Most weight loss comes from diet. Exercise is just there to help accelerate the loss; amongst other reasons. Cardio has other benefits besides helping you lose weight, and weight lifting has its benefits as well. My reason for going to the gym and lifting is primarily to help preserve muscle loss while losing weight. When you lose weight, you lose both fat and muscle. I try and preserve muscle so that I would be losing most of my weight through fat.
As for easy lunches.. what do you enjoy eating?

Mike, the human body is Paleolithic. Meaning that it is meant to store food. A lot of foods like chips and unhealthy snack foods are empty calories. Basically when protein synthesis starts(every time you eat something) your body sets the bad aside and stores it until it can use it. My experience has been that you can only lose so much by dieting alone. Once your body get use to eating healthy it will stop burning fat. That's where cardio and exercise come in. Also, 1 pound of muscle burns 50 calories. Also, try using green tea extract. It boosts the metabolism. And if you start working out regularly, take L-carnitine 30 minutes before the workout. It turns stored fat into energy. Plus it promotes heart health
As for food, raw almonds are really good. I do raw almonds and the Quaker rice cakes for a few meals a day. Grilled chicken and brown rice(when done right) are really good. Also, they're a little pricey, but the packets of tuna(4.5 oz) that are flavored(I like garlic and herb) those and some brown rice. One of my favorite lunch meals is grilled chicken 4oz on a whole wheat tortilla with some lettuce and salsa.
