That's hot Jeff. Just my opinion, you may want to consider painting the valve cover bolts as well. That might be taking the murder look too far?

I actually kinda like the contrast. If anything I'd paint them chrome to match the emblem.

I really need to fix my headlights. Here's some pics:

Judging from the first pic, it looks like I didn't seal the headlights good enough when I blackhoused them. Is there a special kind of sealant I should use, or would regular silicone sealant work? I've also got to pick up one of those 3M restoration kits. I'm sure that would help.

Well in the first pic, it seems as though that whatever the hell that is, it's on the inside of the lens, not the outside, because I couldn't wipe it off or anything. Was it the same way with yours?

Actually yes I can. Can this be fixed via the 3M kit, or am I screwed? What did you end up doing? These are the OEM headlights, too.  :x

Worst case scenario is that if you can't repair the damage, you can always replace the lenses.

That's a good point Tim. I don't know what else you can mine starte peeling like that I didn't know what to also, but as the hot summer days passed it kept spreading. Whatever was loose I would just flake off. Lol by the end of the summer, 75% percent was peeled off. Lol did you put on some sort of clear coat?

Honestly I haven't done anything to the lenses until recently when a friend gave me this pad thing and a stone for polishing the lens or whatever. That didn't even do anything, though.

It originally belonged to my grandfather, who was the first owner.

I think I am going to try wetsanding it tomorrow and see if that'll help, since that is basically what the 3M restoration kit does.
