Sorry Bud.  it will make a nice project car.  Haven't decided if I'm going to keep it a stock, vintage car or drop some serious Chevy power into it.  I've thought about dropping a 572 crate motor into it but I doubt it would fit.  The motor alone cost around $15 grand.

That sounds pretty sweet Jason. Personally, I wouldn't be able to leave well enough alone. I'd be dropping some serious power between the rails of that Vette.

Mike, as for special edition vehicles like the SVT, Saleen, Roush and what not, its still newer than 1987 so I still consider it crap. That can be said for all auto manufacturers. Nothing is made like it was used to.

Country, that's pretty damn cheap but the mileage for that year worries me.

Would that look over include compression and leak down tests? If so, that sounds pretty sweet. Its always a good thing for that peace of mind.

Generally does include a compression test. For time sake I generally don't worry about a leak down test if it has good compression. And A bore scope check on pistons

I disagree... Normal cars yes but, when the time is taken to hand build a car it's generally made to last. My Cobra was boosted through the roof with no engine work done, and I put 50K on it with 0 problems!
