Fixed my shifter the other day. Had part of it snap off and leave me stuck in 1st gear. Glad it was a simple fix.

At first glance, I read that as "fixed my
shitter
..."
I took all the plastidip off but had to use a power washer. Fun times.

Really, was it not thick enough to peel off?

Apparently not. Every time I tried to get a corner, tiny pieces would break off. It sucked.

Alright, all this stagnant nothingness is driving me nuts. Took the Subaru for a wash, replaced all the center caps, and put a new galaxy overlay on both front and back emblems.
Tonight I'm going to run the Accord for a few since it's been sitting. Also getting a harbor freight floor jack, an impact wrench and more glue for my headliner.

Installed some new speakers in the doors. Also spent some time chasing down an electrical issue. Looks like I'm ready for a high output alternator upgrade.

Nothing fancy. I ended up replacing the Elemental Designs (now defunct) 6.5" subwoofers with a pair of inexpensive Dayton Audio (from Parts Express) 6.5" subwoofers. They have more clearance than the old ED subs in relation to my window and my door panel. They aren't the high dollar Morel's or Dynaudio's that I would like, but I can always save those for when I win the lottery. All in all, they sound really good for what they cost. I also added a foam baffle around the speaker between the door and door panel to help improve efficiency.
Unfortunately, this audio set up has now uncovered an electrical problem that I have. My alternator cannot keep up with the demands of my audio system and other electrical components. I spoke with Mechman alternators today to see if they can upgrade an EP3 alternator (what I have to use because of clearance issues with my intake manifold) or if they can modify a TSX alternator to clock the 4 pin connector on the top 90° to the front because of said clearance issues.

Finally pulled the trigger on a Harbor Frieght floor jack, a torque wrench, and an electric impact wrench. Things are getting serious in Denny's garage! Haha

Car? Garage? What are those again?lol
I've traded my ball peen hammer for a carpenter hammer and a reciprocating saw for a miter saw. Both cars have blinking maintenance minder lights on and the oil and filter have been sitting. Hope I can do the oil change before the weekend.

The only thing keeping me from doing any work on the car is the cold weather. I don't want to do anything when the temps drop into the negatives.
