I had gunmetal TL 5 spokes with 245/45/17 and they looked too beefy plus they require 8" of width or more. ON the HFP 17x7s I'd do 225/45/17 or 235/45/17 :P

Honda recommended tire size on the 17x7 Silverstars are a 215/50 R17. A 235/45 R17 is not advise for a 7" width rim. My 2 suggestion on tire size for the 17x7 Silverstars is either 215/50 R17 or a 225/45 R17. The reason behind these 2 sizes is to stay in your rolling diameter, and to no cause any mass speedometer fluxuation.

Very clean looking Mike, I love Enkeis. I think Ryan used to rock these in silver.

I like the Enkeis too, but it wasn't the same rim. though it did have some similarities to those.

Well everyone, I finally decided on wheels and decided to go with the clean closer to stock look of the HFP Silverstars. I will be driving to Atlanta either monday or tuesday or next weekend to trade the grams for them

JT, can you send me the link to the discount tire direct once again please and thank you

I am aiming for Enkei EKM3 18x7.5 with +45 offset (also comes in +38)

Would 245/40/R18 tires fit these rims?

Even though they are not recommended, you could probably get them to fit.  I have 235's on my 18x7.5's right now, and I know that Piero has 245's on his 18x7.5's.

Would you reccomend 235 over 245 then for that width?

Depends on what you want.  If you're looking for a wider tire for more grip, then I'd get a 245.  My next set of tires will be 245s.

I want some meat to keep the bumps in check as Canada can become pot hole crazy sometimes..

That and maintaining OEM rollout are concerns... oh and if it won't fit then it would obviously negate some choices

You'll want to stick with the 235's so your speedo is correct.  It's closer to the factory wheel diameter.  I don't care that much because I can adjust my speedo.
