Damn. That works. Wait. Since when does Verizon use SIM cards?

Verizon's LTE uses GSM, so it requires a SIM card to use.

I've had a bunch of shitty customer service experiences with Verizon. They were all because of policy/contract changes. Cell phone companies are getting too big and taking advantage of it. They seem to have the attitude that everyone is too dependent on their cell phone, so they can keep changing the rules/contracts to make more money off their customers. It seems like most companies no longer take care of their customers because it's good business ethics an the right thing to do. It's all about making as much money as they can. If I didn't need a cell phone for work, I'd probably get rid of mine right now.
Mark, I'm glad to hear you got things figured out.

Tell me about it. Things were so much simpler in the days of pagers. Someone needs to get in touch with you, they punch in the number they can be reached at along with some generic code. No worries about 17 year old Connie in her bright yellow Beetle putting on makeup while talking on the phone and steering with her feet. Those were the days.

Actually, texting and driving is a huge problem out here. I see about 20-30 people a day texting and driving. Just holding their phones up in front of their face texting away. It's insanely scary how nobody even bothers to hide the fact they are blatantly doing something illegal and dangerous.
I keep thinking that I could kinda get rid of my phone. I have a tablet that I can use throughout the day whenever on wifi for email and what not. Maybe I could just downgrade to the cheapest dumb phone out there. I'm just pissed about all these companies abusing the fact that everyone is dependent on their cell phones

People feed into it though. Sometimes, I think that I could downgrade to a dumb phone also. But it does help having Google Maps while on travel. The other stuff is convenience; I don't really need access to personal e-mail or facebook through my phone. Is it nice to have? Sure. Is it necessary? Nope..
I'm thinking about asking for a work phone soon.. Well, I've been kindof needing it for a while now; but I've been holding out to see if we're going to get the iPhone 5. yeah, yeah, i know; but I want something different than my personal phone without getting a blackberry.

I hate to say it, but ive become accustomed to my smartphone lifestyle... Idk what id do without it.
@Tim, contract change was the only problem Ive had with it and they handled it great. I added my GF to my plan amd changed both plans to the shared data. We did it at Best Buy and he fucked up by making two plans on my phone (he forgot to end my old plan). So I got some insane phone bill, called them up and luckily they were able to back date the changes and credit my next months bill to cover some other shit. So I guess I lucked out.

So I bit the bullet and bought the iPhone. Purchased it through apples' website and didn't have to pay the upgrade fee.

Got the iPhone 5 in a store yesterday. 4G is quick as hell, screen is perfect, pretty light and easily navigated by one hand. Oh, also it's not a brick in my pocket like most Androids
Hate on it.
