Like this job I'm hoping for is like early retirement. It'd be great to not have to answer calls and be a proactive officer as opposed to reactive like I am now. But eventually I want to be a k9 or traffic officer for the sheriffs office. But this job is the best possible stepping stone for me.

So I come home after an amazing weekend with my gf (blacked out at her place on friday(Tullamore Dew), went to a grad party sat feelin like shit, and then Tuscarora State Park today where we spent the day with friends swimmin and enjoyin the sun), only to come home to my mom in tears cause my dumb ass brother broke up with his gf of 6 almost 7 years, for the second time this week, and was supposedly taking a girl from work to the movies (their just friends=BS) and called the girl he broke up with to tell her they were going to the movies.  Basically my take on it is:
-she does everything for him, he does little to nothing for her
-he was going to propose this summer
-somehow it came up in conversation and she told him that she would say no, cause all he does is lay around and watch tv and play video games (AT THE SAME TIME!) all day, and saying he needs to change before they are ready
-he being a lazy stubborn piece of shit decided i like my lazy piece of shit life, i dont want to change, i guess were not getting married

He was home ALL last week and very little was said to me, most of the info I got was from my mom.  Well now tonight I find out (FROM MOM) that A. they broke up again (second time this week, supposedly for good this time) and B. that they've been breaking up on and off since the beginning of fall semester.  Great news to here form your mom and get nothing from your brother.  Sry, I really feel left out and honestly hurt on this one.  So, having been in this situation last year (I had doubts, broke up with my gf of almost 3 years, dated another girl for 3 months, she turned out psycho, went crawling back to 1st gf after another 3 months and she somehow by the graces of the gods took me back) I think my brother is being a complete idiot/jackass/selfish/lazy piece of shit and I hope that his gf doesn't take him back and that he is lonely and sad for the rest of his life.

Sounds like you have issues too.  My older brother isn't exactly a contributing member of society, but at the same time, whatever he decides to do with his life is his own business.  He does't tell me about the fact that he went to a doctor because of "back pain" and got prescribed medical marijuana, sits at home and plays video games all day (since he hasn't had a job for about 9 months now), and treats his wife and step kids like shit.  He doesn't come to me for advice, and I don't offer it.  If that's how he wants to live his wife, I'm not going to get in the way and I'm not going to let it affect my life.  I'll be there to help him if he wants it, but I'm not going to offer something he doesn't want.

Well said Tim. My brothers are both being lazy, to an extent, and I their on my .02 from time to time because I care. That is the most I do because I'm not going to run their lives as I don't like anyone trying to run mine.

I'm kinda like the piece of shit brother... My younger brother has had the same girlfriend for 4 years, made good grades, Is going to college, partied a lot less than I did, and stayed out of trouble. I'm a college drop out who has partied and had fun and unfortunately neglected my brother. All he ever wanted was to be a part of my life. Instead, I blew him off to have a good time. Now that he left last week it has been eating at me and even typing this has me in tears. I know my brother will be more financially successful than I, and will have a better career.

Looks like I'll miss another promotion. A guy with 15 years in the company put in for it, and we all know what happens in those situations. Not to mention my company agreeded to be sold today...

One of three people called for a second interview. First one went alot better than expected. Things were said like "I want you on my team", and the only question asked was. "I know you can handle the job but, why do you want it"

My gf was offered and took the job in Norristown, its a bit of a hike, but hey its a job.  And low and behold, two hours after she accepted she got a call for another interview which is 15 miles closer to her home than the job in norristown and more in my area. She went to that interview on sat and thinks it went well but isnt the job for her (not sure there is room for advancement and where to go from there).  So then today she got an offering for another job! A Case worker job (pretty much exactly what she wants to do) and its like 15 min from my house!   The flood gates have opened for her... now just gotta get my shit together...

Haha how ironic. The capacitor that starts up the fan motor on one of our AC units took a dump, so now it's like 86 degrees upstairs. Looks like I'll be sleeping in the den tonight. This is like the fifth time this has happened within a few months.
