Some exhaust mod questions

OK so i found this thread some time ago (
http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8658
) where people just cut out the mid muff and the resonator and replace it with a magnaflow resonator. I don't care if it sounds like a G35 i just want it to be a little bit louder without spending $600+. Now as far as i know the stock exhaust piping on a v6 is 2.25 but in the thread people bought a 2.5' resonator and just had a shop put it in. My question to you is should i just get a 2.25 resonator or get the 2.5? The 2.5 does not sound right because its just going to go back to the 2.25 tubing after the resonator.

Only thing that I can think of is that the stock piping would fit inside the 2.5 inch resonator. They wouldn't be using flanges to install it so they would probably insert the factory piping into the resonator and weld it together. It makes for a better seam.

Stick with the stock size and get 2.25".

Another Exhaust Mod Question: Which one out of the 6 or so performance exhaust systems that are out there, in your respective opinions, delivers the best bang for the buck?

Borla. Lifetime warranty, and great sound. I've heard the magnaflow has rust issues. The Greddy is nice but, the Mufflers(Cans) hang so low they cause issues. I have a slightly used one that I'll probably never installed, and I'd be happy to have some cash.

I love my Apexi WS2. It has a nice growl during initial start up and initial accleration. After that, its quiet. I can barely hear it. Also, the tips look almost stock, and I always get question if I have an exhaust. I got my Apexi WS2 for $700 shipped brand new. I believe the price has gone up, but I did have to wait 3 months from Japan.

I'm very pleased with the exhaust Paul fabricated for me. Worth every penny. My exhaust looks totally stock, because I have stock TSX/V6 6MT tips. You can only tell that I have an exhaust when you look under my car or when I get on it. It has a nice tone, but it's really quiet at idle and when driving.

It's not a cat-back but no need to start a new thread for this. Just wondering if anyone has used OBX exhaust components? I found this and it seems to be a great deal...

An old member here named Blackhawk used to use them I don't remember hime having to many complaints. I can't comment on the sound because I had never heard it in person.

No complaints is a good thing. Main reason for this is that my current flex pipe is rattling like the OP of this thread so I've been looking into replacing the whole precat/jpipe assembly to a) free up exhaust flow and b) get rid of the rattle

Damn
of course it's gotta suck..lol in your opinion which of these RV6, XLR8 or ATLP jpipes would you go with? I would like to keep the 3rd cat for emissions reasons and also would you offer a Paul custom jpipe which would be even better?
