I should also mention that it's nothing I would recommend using on a poorly maintained car either.

After a long week and a lot of trial and error with the car, it seems that it might,
might
be an issue with either the fuel pump, the gauge cluster, or both... both of which are pricey repairs. Either way, it doesn't help that it seems like squirrels or chipmunks were living in a bunch of areas in the car, because we found acorns everywhere. There could be issues that we just can't see at this point. It looks like I'm just gonna have to live with the issues for now and hope they don't get any worse.

Squirrels are very destructive for their size, I wouldn't be shocked to find out that they had chewed through several wires. Little furry bastards.
