Just got a call from the bike shop and my bikes are ready. Had them "tuned up" for our trip to SC next week.

What app are you using Ryan?

What's the bike lock of choice around here? Is it a kryptonite?

I have a Kryptonite U-Lock that I used when I lived in Boston.

Ken, the bikes are here with us in SC right now.

I want to build a mountain bike. I'm on the fence of whether I should get a fixed gear bike next or a mountain bike.

So I've been thinking about getting a road bike for a while now.  It's been a long time since I've owned a bike of any sort, but I want to add cycling as part of my workout.

Is there anything I should look for? and anything I definitely do not need right away?

You don't need carbon. Aluminum is super light. Just make sure you get properly sized go to more than one place to get sized. Super important with road bikes from what I hear. Specialized cannondale felt trek. Go with a name brand. Not much to look out for with gearing and brakes because they all work about the same and if your not a weight weenie you can save a lot of money. Get some padded riding shorts your tante will thank me later when you can sit on the toilet after a long ride.
