that soon our beloved 7th gens will soon be falling into the hands of the Ricecapades.  I was riding around the other day and have noticed more and more modded 7th gens but they tend to be the Pep Boys Specials with all the flames, carbon fiber port holes, neon tag frames and shit.  I see this trend quite often, when a car that originally started out to be moderately expensive soon falls into the price range that everybody can afford. What once was exclusive is no common.  It will soon be like the riced out 5th and 6th gen Accords, everybody and their brother will have one and you'll end up seeing more riced out ones than classy ones. Actually it seems with the change over of gen 7 what I'm talking about is becoming more apparent.  What do you guys think?

yeah unfortunately that time is getting closer as our cars depreciate enough to be obtainable by anyone now. and unfortunately to people who will rice out this vehicle. Just like the older models of cars too, there will also still be people who will mod them correctly, like the members of this forum.

I don't know man.  Look at all the 8th Gen Accords.  Every one that I've seen that's modded is hideously riced out.  No matter what, there are always going to be idiots with more money than brains (kinda sad since these are Hondas) that will spend money on anything that is shiny, color matched, or flashy.  I can take satisfaction in knowing that my car is not a fucking eye sore.

i have noticed more and more rice rockets but thankfully not in my area. and i agree with derrick that the switch on Gen7Space has made it much more apparent than before. seems a lot of the new people over there just wanna slap whatever they can onto their cars because they have a little money left over

I've seen an increasing number of riced out 7th gens and I refuse to associate with them or allow them to join my squads.  Rice attracts police and police attract headaches and gastrointestinal distress.

I'd care less what everyone else does to their 7th Gen, especially those ricers because one day they'll look back and say why the fuck did I do that to my car, my shit couldv'e still looked like mine......simple.

I just hate rice because them making a CM look like pep boys racing rolling bilboard it brings everyone of us to a lower level... Once people see a riced out CM and say 2 weeks down the road they see a beautifully modded car, like skip's for example, they will automatically assume that the well done accord is associated with the limited edition turbo V8 4x4 CM accord. Having said that, I must be a little bit hypocritical. If spending 600 dollars at pep boys on a car makes someone happy, who are we to judge them? We may label them as rice and not allow them to associate with us to bring us down, but If doing that makes them happy, i will let them do it. Not meaning i will hang around them but its their money, their car, and their fucked up head.

weren't more 7th gens sold than previous gens?...if that is true, it will mean more rice than before, but at the same time a large portion of the cars will remain in the hands of average drivers...hopefully outweighing the previous

I am very scared.

This fear set in when I saw a 7.5 gen coupe in Miami with a 03-05 rear bumper to accommodate for his chrome Altezza tail lights (epic downgrade!), but still had the 06-07 trunk. Sure, it latched and all. But the poor fuck probably had a moldy trunk from driving in the rain. There was a good inch gap on each side right where the trunk on the 06-07 sticks out.

I'm starting to see more and more Accords with chrome tail lights and 20" rims with no drop...so yeah D, I'm scared with ya.


Today some dude on G7A with his whole grille spray painted flat black and black TSX wheels (probably not P/C'd) said my white interior trim was rice.  :lol:
