Yellow mustard like substance?
«

So I was changing out the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches on my AT this weekend and I noticed this yellow mustard like substance all around the driver's side axle. Is this a sign of a blown axle? Or is it from something else?
The ride has been pretty crappy but I contributed that to the bad bushings on my LCAs. Also, notice the axle sitting directly on top of some sort of plug on the AT? It is literally smashing it. I assume the axle is hitting it because of the bad LCA bushing. Anyone know what that plug is for?

Is that grease from the axle boot?

Looks like it. Seems like its been cracked for some time and water got to it then got flung everywhere. Nasty stuff.

Thanks guys, good thing I have a replacement axle on hand already.
Any idea what that sensor is that my axle is crushing? I looked at the diagrams on the Honda parts websites but I'll be damned if I can figure out what it is.
