Pre-ordered MW3 and Elite yesterday!  Can't wait!  Its gonna be crazy.  They are releasing a new map pack EVERY MONTH for 9 months!  Its gonna be crazy.

Why would you be excited about that. That is a specific reason I might not buy the game at all. If they can put one out every month that means the content is already available to them, and why not put it on the disk. Games are getting to the point where the on line add ins are causing companys to leave shit out of the original so that they can sell it to you later and make more money. Good for the industry but, awful as a consumer. So basically they have you on the hook for $60 upfront and $10 a month. You may as well pay a fucking subscription fee.

I ordered the game, that was $60.  The elite subscription is another $50 and with buying that you get ALL of the DLC FO FREE.  Oh and my lil bro is payin for the Elite subscription as a late bday present

If you think about it, the Elite is actually a great deal and DEF the best way to do it.  You get to do all this extra stuff and get the map packs too.  Even if your just in it for the map packs, do the math.

I'd say if you don't get Elite and buy them when they come out your lookin at at least $15 each, times 9 months comes out to $135, or you can SAVE $85 and buy the Elite subscription for $50 and get it all "free"

AND most COD game have only come out with what 4 map packs? so maybe 15 more maps?  This is 9! so thats like 30-40 new maps.  I think thats pretty Bad ass.  Plus with the Elite subscription I can get an app for my phone to change my classes when I'm at work... why I would want to do that I HAVE NO IDEA... but I could. haha

Still... What they are doing is getting you to buy all the content up front so even if the maps blow or you lose interest in the game they already have your money. I only bought one of the map packs for black ops because I basically stopped playing it.

I'm probably most excited about about battlefield 3, something about watching the building you just rigged to collapse crushing half the enemy team...feels good man

Yeah, I don't really buy many games.  But when I go I get kick ass deals.  When MW2 came out EB was havin a buy 2 used get one free sale.  I found MW2, Gears 2 and some other game that had just came out on the used wall (MW2 was actually still in the box to go up on the wall, I had the dude diggin for it haha).  But I ended up gettin three used games, all of which were no more than a few weeks old for under $100.  That's pretty much the only time I buy em.  I'm gonna have to trade some in soon tho, too much comin out.  Gotta get Forza 4, Batman: Arkham Island, and Gears 3.  Although I think GF is gettin Gears for me.
