Why do this?: This will get rid of all the restrictive internals that are found in catalytic converters and make your car fart a little better which can theoretically translate to more power. This is basically the same thing as replacing your catalytic with a test pipe.

Disclaimer: Gutting your catalytic converters may cause you to fail emissions tests in some states so do this at your own risk. You will also need an O2 Sensor Defouler in order to avoid a check engine light.

First:

Take off your catalytic converter. You might have to use an impact gun, and PB Blaster and a torch and probably help from infinity and beyond to take the 6 bolts off but the good news is thats the hardest part.

Second:
You will need a hammer and a long piece of metal. I happened to have a long chisel  but anything made out of metal thats long enough will do the job.





Third:
Get a piece of wood or something soft that you can put on the floor in order to place one end of the catalytic converter on. This is so that when you hammer down the metal rod/chisel the bolts at the end of the cat don't get messed up.

Fourth:
Get the chisel/rod stick it inside through one of the openings and start going at it. Take your time and brake everything inside little by little. Flip the cat over every once in a while so that what you have broken off already can fall out.



This is what it will look like after you start to break it.




This is all the stuff that came out.






Fifth:

Finish taking everything out. Make sure you dont mess up the walls of the cat or pierce a hole through it. The stuff inside breaks pretty easily so there is no need to go crazy on the hammer.

This is what it looks like after its all done.




Last:

Put the cat back in. I recommend using anti-seize on the bolts so that if you ever need to take the cat off again, it becomes easier.
