So I got my brake pads and rotors changed out today.... I returned home and parked the ride and since I'm on a slight slope I applied the e-brake and let the car roll back while in reverse. I always do this and even did this last night and all was good, but tonight the car just kept rolling back in reverse slowly.....  mad could the e-brake somehow become loose??? I never came across this happening when doing the brakes! Should I just tighten it up or do we think there is something I'm missing here???

On Thursday, my next day off I guess I will try and adjust the e-brake nut a little to tighten it up and see...

Billy, How many clicks do you hear when you pull the e-brake?

You have rear disks, if I remember correctly. It should be about 7 clicks.

Check to make sure they didn't forget to hook up the e-brake cable if they unhooked it.

Yea I got rear disks so I'll check for 7 if that doesn't work then I will go back to the shop. They probably did unhook it and forget to put it back... I gave the jack back to my boy so I won't be able to check that...

It's fairly easy to squeeze underneath the car and hook it back on without using a jack.

To be honest Jeff I'm not 100% sure where exactly I should be looking... never had to deal with it before. I'll try and look it up when I get home today.

look at the backside of the caliper, there should be a cable with a loop that hooks onto a lever that applies preasure once there is tension on the cable.

Billy, I believe it's the passenger side rear tire you want to look at.

You know what... I see that damn thing all the time and now that I was looking for it I knew exactly where it was lolz. I had to take the b*tch off one day to replace the passenger caliper, what a pain! Either way they were both attached. I got in the car and moved it forward a little, put it in reverse while holding on the brakes and clicked the e-brake (clicked about 9-10 clicks) I let loose of the brakes and the car rolled for a slight second and stayed in place. I'm guessing it just needed some time to get acquainted witht the new brake pads and rotors  Wink all is good, I just got worried with the baby coming and all and with my allergies got me going crazy as well.

Thanks for the help fella'z!

So just an update. I pull out and put the car in reverse and then applied the e-brake so I can close the gate to the parking area where I park, mind you now I'm a little more towards the top of the slant in the driveway and the car did the same thing rolled until I pushed down on the brake pedal and put it in park. Took the car to the car wash and when I came back I adjusted the nut in between the front seats. Did the same thing and seems to be fine again. It probably just came a little loose over the years I guess...
