From what I've been told, the Opus X is sent to shops 4 times a year. I've been told to start looking around Valentine's Day.
I've been to two different shops recently that still have Opus X's. At this point, I have plenty. I am going to hold off on getting any more unless it's something rare.

So, I tried a Java Latte by Drew Estate tonight. I guess it's essentially a Rocky Patel and Drew Estate collaboration. For whatever reason, the girl at the shop I was at last week recommended it. It was a mistake to take her advice on this stick. While she tried to make suggestions based on what I told her I liked, it felt like she was just recommending what she liked instead. I really didn't like this cigar at all and will probably avoid them from now on. I didn't even get 1/3 of the way through before I put it down and came inside.

A coffee flavored cigar? Yeah that sounds pretty disgusting.

I really like the drew estate latte series. It's actually discontinued. Did you have the dark or light wrapper?
Drew estate replaced the latte series with the tabak line. The latte series is only flavored at the cap, where the tabak wrapper is flavored all the way through.

I had the natural and not the maduro. I really didn't like it at all and had to stop smoking it about 15 minutes in because it was making me sick. I figured it would be okay because coffee and tobacco compliment each other. From now on I'm going to stick with what I know and like, and stay away from the infused cigars. For me, they're something I don't enjoy and it's difficult to store them. I can't put them in my big humidor because they'll affect the flavor and ruin my regular cigars that I'm aging. I had it in my small humidor because of that.
I've decided to never do that again. I'm going to use my other smaller humidor to store the cigars that have been aged and I plan on smoking. I have a Padron 85th Anniversary that I'm planning on having next. It's been aging for about 8-9 months, so it should be ready.

It's definitely bad because it's something that takes your time and money, and it also makes you reek of smoke.

I wouldn't say this was stress relief Mike. All though it does make you sit down and enjoy one. So it might. All depends on you, really.

Like Nelson said, it's all about you. Most cigar shops have comfy lounge chairs and a big tv. I really enjoy going to a shop and enjoying the flavor notes of a nice cigar for me it is a stress relief.
Tonight I had an Arturo fuente that is the same as the opus x with a different wrapper. It was very good. Very smooth to smoke, constant rich flavor notes. I found myself smoking it too fast because it was a great smoke. It came in a cedar(I believe) casing to hold in the flavor. For the price it was great. Only about 8 dollars after tax

I would assume prices vary greatly by state due to taxes?

Tim, you now know what I had.
Mike, they do vary by state due to taxes, but it's not a considerable amount. It could go up or down a dollar or two depending on the state. The Oliva G Toro that Tim suggested was 5.20 here. It may be 6-8 where he is.

I think it's only NY state that heavily taxes tobacco.

Most of the price differences would come from the shop itself attempting to make the most they could off of each stick.
Mike, have you tried any cigars?
