oem alarm issue
«

hey elitecm'ers
Car is a 2005 coupe V6; I have an issue with my oem alarm...when it's armed and the door is manually unlocked the alarm does NOT go off.
Any ideas on what can cause this?
We have a 2004 LX Sedan, and when the door is manually unlocked the alarm goes off.

How are you arming the "alarm" and manually locking the doors at the same time? For example, of you hit the lock button it should make the security light blink and lock the doors.

read wrong...manually UNlock as in sit inside the car, use the key fob to arm system and wait few secs for red light on dash to blink slowly. Then reach over and pull up on the door lock knob.
UPDATE: I noticed the bulb in the drivers side door was blown, I replaced it with another peanut bulb and it works now! I guess that bulb completes a circuit or something with the door lock and oem alarm

Yeah if that bulb in the door is out, the console lights won't even come on when you open the door. Weird that it would be wired that way...

LoL. I have an EX-L.
Maybe we're talking about two different things. You mean a light by the actual lock knob right? By the window?
Edit: wow! I'm just reading everything wrong. For get it! I give up for the day.
You mean the floor lights in the door panel.
