Anyone taken out the E brake cover and put in a nicer handle and boot?

I know that Dave can't take the center console cup pocket out now because of the eBrake handle being so big. He can't get the cover off either. From what I recall him saying about it is that it was a PITA.

I replaced mine way back and remember it being a huge pita. It involved a razor blade to get the oem one off. I replaced it with a momo one and I couldn't get the adapter piece for the button that was recommended to work either. It came out looking nice and Tim is correct now I can't fully remove that trim piece without damaging it. It was one of my earlier mods so maybe there is an easier way that I didn't know but it sticks in my mind as not being a fun time.

Considering the trouble you have to go through, I wouldn't ever install one.
