Time for a new build. This one is going to take time so be patient with the updates, but here it goes.

Goal: 750WHP+

This build will be a fully built J engine made for hadeling 25-30PSI of boost. The block will be sleeved with Darton MID sleeves, eaither KMS or CP forged pistons, Paulter rods, 07 MDX forged crank, KMS SS valve train, TL-S cams, GT35RS snail, other parts TBD. Total displacement will be 3.7L and 10:1 compression.

Here are some pics of the sleeves and the start of block boring for the sleeves. I expect to screw up this "test" block, but learn the details of how to work with these for sleeving, luckily I have 3 or 4 of these J30 block laying around.

750 on the dyno to say its been done, the detune to 500-550 for the street, as far as the tranny, LSD, cryo treating the gears and a stage 4 clutch. And some other suspension/mount work to try to keep wheel hop under control.

That's going to be awesome Paul.  I don't know much about cryo treating, but have you also looked into WPC treatment?

I think this block is already trash, I machined for the intergrated deck relief, hit the called out bore exactly (4.760 +/- .001) and it still has .005 clearence and does not fit snugly (.000 to .001 clearence), I will be calling darton to find out WTF..... This is why I expected to destroy at least one of these blocks, I will finish out this side of this block to see what other issues arise from using the darton drawing, this is not the first time I have seen the darton drawing being off a bit.

Well, I completed boring the other side for sleeveing one of the cylinders and now have my maching plan set as well as corrections for the fitment I want( Which I already discussed with a Darton engineer who was happy with it), so it is time to start doing a real block.

Well, one bank machined, one bank to go. I am also ordering more steel to make the clamping/tourqe plates so I can install the sleeves this week.
