NYCM BBQ in The Hamptons 7/12/2K9 *UPDATED*

I'm going down there on Saturday the 11th, but the meet is on Sunday the 12th.  It would be cool if you wanted to come down.  I'm the only NECM guy that has ever come down to a NYCM meet.  The NYCM guys have come up to MA plenty of times though.

Sparrow (Rob) came to a NYCM meet once. But that was very early last year. Hopefully he can make it to more meets since he now has a 666 Accord.

it would be awesome to see more NECM Squad members come to the NYCM region.

Yeah fellas. More o you should come down. My place is in westhampton. Barely in the hamptons to be honest. And like Justin said, the orient point ferry would be beneficial for most of you guys. Others may be more beneficial to take the port jefferson. My original thread title did say the more the merrier.

How much driving time does taking the ferry save? $50 one way is a little expensive.

FWIW, I called them to ask if it would be a problem to get a lowered car on to the ferry.  I basically said that I'm about as low as a Corvette or a Porsche.  They said it would't be a problem, but because of the tides, it would be best to show up for the 8:30 AM ferry so their on ramp is level with the dock.

I'm not all that crazy about taking the ferry, especially since I am goint to be down in Oceanside to begin with.  Maybe on the way back, but I'm not really sure how much it will shave off of the trip yet.

from Warwick without the ferry 5 hrs 258mi

I timed it out for me when I went up there in April and it was roughly the same either way. It came ou to be cheaper driving around, but not by much. There's a couple of tolls if you go by land but also figure in your MPG. once you do that math, you can figure out your exact plans. My zip is 11978 to give a ballpark estimate for you guys. Don't forget to post your intentions in the BBQ thread so I can have a count. Thanks.

Hahaha.  I was wondering which one of the pansy asses from New England were going to come down for the meet.  I wanted to see if I was going to be driving back alone, or caravanning with anyone.  It looks like I'm driving alone.
