I bought a lower end Linksys cable modem, and it solved alot of my problems. Your probably looking at replacing a router to 3 years is about the life cycle for the lower end products. Wireless N is nice to have if your equpment supports it.

Just ordered a new bluetooth headset today. It's the one I talked about before. I've tested it a few times already and was really happy with the comfort and performance. Being on the other end of the line, the call clarity is pretty good. When I get it, I'll let you guys know what I think.

So I modded my Linksys WRT54G router a little, just for the heck of it. I threw a heatsink on the CPU chip, and I soldered in a 12V fan to the case (first time soldering). It's all pretty pointless since I won't be overclocking the router or anything, but it was still fun to tinker with it. /nerd

the android e-readers are basically just android tablets that have been handicapped. I'd rather spend the money on a regular e-reader (kindle) because the battery lasts for a MONTH.. I don't want something that's supposed to be a reader that will die in 4 hours of reading. that alone renders it completely useless to me. long flights all I do is read, and if I'm flying over 4 hours I can no longer read. plus the e-ink displays are better on your eyes over long periods of time.
jeff, you are an uber nerd, but I approve.

You guys are all nerds. Reading books is for nerds. I watch movies on my laptop or iPod when I'm on flights. However, my fiance has a kobo e-reader. She ordered the kindle, but it was on backorder. So she got impatient and canceled the order and bought the kobo. She likes it and uses it all the time. I can't say much for the battery life or anything.

That will work for a little while but, with HP's its usually a sign of things to come, and you will probably have Motherboard issues down the road...
