My 360 Modena drive

Last weekend I had the rare opportunity to get behind the wheel of a supercar. It was the definitive highlight of my driving life and probably the most exciting thing I've crossed off of my bucket list so far.
For an hour I got to drive a 2004 Ferrari 360 Modena:
3.6L V8
395bhp with 275tq
0-60 in 4.5 (my 5-80 test was about 6 sec.)
F1 Paddle shift transmission
This was my first time driving a car with a rear mounted engine and you really could tell. You are glued to the road during acceleration and you can see how this could slip in certain conditions. Overall, the car handled unbelievably well. The acceleration was unlike anything I've ever felt because of the power to weight ratio and excellent torque. This made the interior seats stand-out to me because of how they are contoured. You are pushed back into your seat so hard and fast that you can feel every support from it. It's amazing.
The one thing that surprised me was the shifting lag with the gearbox. It honestly wasn't as immediate as I had expected it to be. With the F1 Paddle shifting, I had anticipated it to go through the gears instantly - bang, bang, bang - but the timing felt a lot like that of a manual transmission. This felt off being that you are constantly on the throttle while shifting but nonetheless was awesome.
All in all, it was absolutely incredible.

From what I've read sometimes the computers are programmed to slow the shifts in cars used for "driving expirences". It reduces the risk of damage to the transmission. I'm sure this was an awsome expirence non the less!

i had actually asked the driving instructor that but he said it was factory tuned. they had just started doing these personal experiences shortly before i signed up. i was at the beginning of the list.

sort of but not a straight rental. like mike put it, its a "drive experience" - basically you learn all about the car then get to drive it with an instructor. not a closed course so you still have to abide by traffic laws (and i say that loosely). normally for businesses its $400 (or something ridiculous like that) - i got in at it for under $80

yes. yes they did. Giselle dumped Tom Brady for me that day.
funny enough the video was shot on this road called Fresh Pond Parkway in Boston. They road was EMPTY except for a charity walk going on along side of it. Since it was so bare and about 1.5 miles long with lights on each end, we were able to have a little fun and put some power down on that road so we kept u-turning as we did about 3 passes. The people on the charity walk were all taking pictures and cheering - haha
