Here's another great article by HeelToe Automotive about squeaky brake syndrome.  It's a great read, especially for someone like myself who has wrestled with this problem for years in order to try and suppress that damn noise, now only to find out that in a way, it's a good thing.  I also like how it focuses a lot on Honda brakes in particular.

I noticed that my Hawk HPS pads with PowerSlot rotors did the same exact thing.  My Brembo Sport Pads with Brembo Blank Rotors didn't do it that much, but later on in life they did squeal.  My new brakes are kind of quiet, but I only have about 1-2k on them.

My EBC greenstuff pads had a little squeak when braking in the 20-10mph range for the first 500 miles. Gone now.

My EBC Yellowstuff pads are quiet so far.  My Brembo sport pads were also pretty quiet until the end.

^ That brake quiet stuff (regardless of brand) never lasts more than a month for me before the squealing starts to come back.  Useless.

The stuff that came with my Hawk HPS's has kept them quiet for over a year now.
