RI Colt State Park Meet - 8/15/10 w/Pics & Video!

Calling all car enthusiasts.  It's time to have a nice Rhode Island meet so that the MA/NH crowd and the CT/NY crowd don't have too far to drive.  Below are the details:

Date/Time:  Sunday, August 15th from 11:00am/12:00pm until whenever (if anyone wants to meet at a centralized spot beforehand and cruise to the park, just let me know).

Location:  Colt State Park in Bristol, RI @ Site #84 (near 81-83) (http://www.riparks.com/colt.htm)

Cost:  Free to enter, plus whatever you buy for food and drinks

Plans:  Meet, hang out, catch up, eat at the park (there is 1 small grill) , pics, videos, relax, cruise the state

I suggest we do this rain or shine, simply because setting a rain date (which could easily be the following Sunday, the 22nd) tends to equate to a meet never happening.  Unless there’s very severe weather, I can reserve a semi-enclosed gazebo for a small fee at either Colt State or Goddard State Park to still accommodate people in the event of rain.  DISCLAIMER  Also, I have a big pet peeve of people who flake out of things.  If you say you’re coming and are on the list, write it on your damn calendar and don’t back out for minor excuses.  Tell your friends.  Thanks.

Eh, I have my house but I'd prefer to have a meet at a public place/park.  Who says you can't do small installs (if need be) at a park?

Installing stuff at a park without any resources or utilities (electricity/air power), kinda sucks.  Maybe installs should be taken off the list.  Just my $0.02.

I voted for the late August one, I prefer Saturdays but, I can suck it up and head out to this. Not sure the direction the voting is going to go in but, I cannot make any of the July date. The 11th I will be out of town on vacation, and the 25th I will be returning from Carrie and Pauls

I have a portable "power washer", which is basically a tank with a hose that connects to a 12v source.  As long as we have a water supply, we're good.  Justin, if you want to have a detail day one weekend, let me know and you can drop by my place.

yesss - that would rock.  that's one of the most frustrating things about living in the city is that there's really no good place to do some solid exterior detail.

So far, it looks like mid-August works for the most people.  I'd still like as much input as possible though, and we need to be solid on it as soon as possible so that this idea doesn't just die off before the summer ends.
