Well, on the other side of the spectrum. The iOS 4.1 was released. It has the capability of HDR photos. I'm interested to see how that will turn out.

what phone do you have mark?  and if I did root now, how easy would it be to reset it back to OEM?

oh hey for droid users or people who know all too much about phones a tool at work bought a droid, and as he says" with all the bells and whistles" for 300. to me this seems high. i dont know what model if its droid 1 or x but i know its not 2. i was curious as to what all the bells and whistles are ? he also stated it has "everything" downloaded on it.

bill, I can't imagine a cell phone camera being good enough to take HDR photos ever.. I get that HDR is the coolness, but it's not necessary for a phone camera.. lets save that type of photography for real cameras please?

status: you said it, he's a tool.  it really doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about.  I did the buy one get one on the samsung fascinate and will end up paying 200 altogether for the phones additional line activation. that's ofcourse after my two rebates go through for 100 a piece. some one can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that there isn't a phone on VZW for over 200 with your upgrade or 2 year activation..

Here they are: The first is non HDR the second is "HDR"

Honestly they look like the same image with the brightness changed. This may be a sort of marketing gimmick. Assuming those shots are taken around the same time with similar light it just looks like the image is filtered.

Honestly, that's probably all it is. HDR sound fancy, so they use it. I'm almost positive it only takes one picture. I'm a photography noob, but I don't think it can be HDR with one pic.

Not sure the non HDR images look good for a phone camera.

You can tell it took more than one picture in the HDR mode if you look at the water in the fountain.
