Got the phone yesterday. It took about an hour to get it to work because Verizon fucked up and set up the phone for the other line on my account. The backup assistant doesn't work on the phone. Jeff showed me how I could add all my contacts using my gmail account. To me, that's a pretty big pain point, but from what I've read, it's a known issue. There's a ton of applications that I really want to toss or at least hide, but Verizon has made that impossible to do. I will say that I like it so far. The swype feature is actually pretty cool, but takes some getting used to.

Launcher Pro will allow you to hide all of those unwanted things. It's also faster than the default home program. Check it out. I'd also reccomend purchasing the plus version for $2.99 you can't go wrong. Or you could just use the free one if your content.

At this point I don't actually remember what was free and what wasn't. I know that it contains widgets which free doesn't, and in my case it runs alot faster.

You get widgets, and widget resizing is part of the Plus features.
I forget what else, but the developer works pretty hard and updates pretty frequently, so I didn't mind spending the $3.

The new update includes a new widget called Friends, that combines both Twitter and Facebook in one widget. I don't have a Twitter account, so I just use the Facebook one.
I would highly recommend buying Plus, because the developer is constantly providing new features. With the newest update, you can change how many icon rows and columns you have, which is pretty cool if you want more screen space. The developer also said that a really cool widget is going to come out soon, so we'll see what exactly it is.
