I wouldn't waste my time avoiding your question. The Iphone 4 is a flawed piece of hardware. At the end of the day any company that recognizes an issue and solves it by sending out a rubber case is not a company I want to do business with. I'm sorry but, if that's how you treat your customers you don't deserve my business. It's like buying a brand new car that won't start but, they offer to tow it to your house! WTF!

That's not going to happen Bill.  Here are the reasons why.  If I were going to switch to an iPhone, I would have to cancel my contract with Verizon to switch over to AT&T and pay early cancellation fees.  I get a 15% discount with Verizon and a 10% discount with AT&T through work, so I would end up saving less.  I would also have to buy an iPhone, instead of getting any phone I want for free that Verizon customer service has already offered me.  On top of all that, I HAVE TO PAY MY OWN BILLS.  My parent's don't pay my bills for me.  When you become a member of the adult world and aren't dependent on your parents financially, then I may consider your advice.  Your perspective is very different when you're not financially responsible for practically everything.  You're still basing this decision on the fact that it's technically free for you.  I know what it's like because I was in your position when I was younger.  Now, I could have made the wrong assumption about you, but based on your attitude and what you talk about, I'm assuming the money you earn at work is "fun" money for you and isn't used to pay bills. 

They are basically the same phone with different operating systems. There is nothing truly better on the Galaxy S than the iPhone. They have the same speed processor, ram, camera mp, video camera.

The iPhone has a better camera, screen, battery, materials, and a bigger app store.

This is to clear up the contradiction that I guess wasn't understood. I was referring to different aspect of the camera. I said they have the same Mega Pixels. I based the better camera comment on the fact that the iPhone has a bigger sensor and a flash. I love the poll. I'm going to say me though since I have almost every product Apple offers. Oh, and I understand why you can't get the iPhone. I just like starting stuff

I know you guys probably don't care, but I finally got my homescreen the way I want it, for now...



If you haven't gotten LauncherPro Plus yet, buy it now! It's easily the best home replacement app out there, and it's growing constantly. I've got a total of five screens, but I didn't really feel like posting them. I like the main screen the most.

As far as the dock goes, the Phone button obviously brings up the dialer, and if I swipe up on the icon, it brings up Google Voice. When I tap the icon of a person, it brings up my contact search, or if I swipe up, it shows all my contacts. The app drawer is obviously the middle one, and if I swipe up on it, it opens the Market. The next one over is for SMS, and if I swipe up it opens Skype. Then of course the last one is Dolphin Browser HD (get it! I love the added features over the stock browser), and when I swipe up it opens Gmail.

I just unlocked Launcher Pro Plus today, but I've been using Launcher Pro Free for a while now.

What battery meter is that?

I'm going to have to check my preferences.  I didn't know you could swipe up on dock icons, unless its a Plus feature.

Dolphin HD is amazing. I guess I will have to get Launcher pro Plus... It's good to be able to put things where you want them.

Favorite app so far is probably air controller (awesome game, addicting) and babble fish italian (trying to learn a new language and getting all the help i can.

Is Dolphin HD free?  What kind of benefits does it give?

If I root my phone, how easy is it to go back to how i got it.  and will I have any issues upgrading to Froyo when it comes out?  I'm really not up for voiding my warranty, but I really would like to stock it out so it'll run faster..

Wait for Froyo before rooting. It's coming soon anyway, and it will not update unless you change it back to stock. Dolphin is free, and the browser is a little faster and provides a couple of different features. It has a thing call gesture that allows you to create a symbol (letter shape whatever) to a web page, and when you draw the symbol on the appropriate screen it takes you to that site. The tabbed browsing is also improved a little. Its free give it a try.
