I just got back from the iPhone release. I ended up not getting one, however, I did sell my spots in line. I ended up selling two spots for $800.00. I split it with some of my friends and I walked away with $300. So, I am pleased and I still have my upgrade to use for myself rather than selling one when ever I want. The iPhone is pretty awesome. I think it was hyped up a little more, I guess because it wasn't as big as a surprise. It definitely is a big improvement over the 3GS and has some really nice features.

Honestly, I was a really excited and now I am kinda disappointed. I know there are a lot of improvements just with the little time I have spent with one, I haven't noticed a lot. There are the obvious things like the HD video recorder, more pixels per inch than the human eye is capable of recognizing, it looks great, and the fast processor. I just love my 3G and was probably expecting too much. I'll check back when I get mine.

I liken it to the 3G to 3GS move. That is what caused all my dislike for apple. Sometimes they hype things like crazy, and then the improvements are not what everyone expects. The do It alot for I Pods. I mean the most advertised change from 3G to 3GS was video. To make that phone record video was nothing but a software upgrade!!!

As much as I like Apple products, I have to agree with Mike.  I haven't really paid close attention to the new iPhone because I just don't care that much.  I do believe that there's a lot of hype that's generated by Apple and exaggerated by the fan boys, but in the end a lot of products fail to deliver.  I guess there's issues with it though since the new is already reporting the problems with it.

The are almost behind on technology alot of times also. I mean it took them how long to include a Video recording device. Technology was available 5 -6 year before they used it.

Very true.  There were a lot of cool features with all the iPhones, but they were lacking in features that most phones already had.  I guess we can blame that on engineers though.  It has always been my experience that they engineer it to do all this cool shit that other similar devices can't do, but they fail to include the basic features that every other device already has.  In some ways they are advanced, but in other ways they fail to provide basic stuff which decreases the value.
