So anyone else getting tired of their Accord? 5.5yrs and almost 150k miles of ownership and I'm getting tired of it. Could be because it's a stock 4cyl auto, but alas now it's only a point A to B type of car.  I could sell or trade in, but what are the odds I can find something just as reliable and decent mpg? My car is worth around $7k, so what can I get that's less than that? It's hard to find anything that isn’t all trashed and in need of TLC for 7 grand. Maybe I should look for an older teg to fix up....

Older teggy or civic would be a fun project, but you probably need something that'd be a bit more reliable. You can get an older Civic (02-05) in that price range though.

Keep the Accord as a daily and buy a car for a project that you don't need to depend on.

I'm happy with my Accord because it's always evolving and there's always something new that I am doing to make me enjoy it.  The goal is to get it to a point where it's a DD and then find a project car to put in the K24 I'll be building one day.

Very true Z. Although, it’s not 100% stock, it’s stock enough for me. I could throw some money at it but it’s still an auto. If it were a 5 or 6spd that’s a whole nother story. Auto is boring, no thinking, just get in and hit the gas = LAME. I could convert to manual but that’s my DD, not sure I can make the swap in a weekend, especially if it’s just me doing it. I lack the motivation to do anything to it anymore. Maybe that will change if I surf around some part sites.

Add some parts and its like a new car all over. How about an exhaust, and some dual piston brakes.
