Actually with just Z I would use my accord. Your car and my Cobra may have been close It would be interesting to see if you could have closed the gap. I'm pretty sure it would have walked away from you at the start.

Quick question for you k24a4 5AT guys. At what RPM do you normally let the car shift at for fuel economy? I try to keep the car under 3,000RPMs in the city, but I found that it's way too slow when on the highway, so I have to ramp it up to 4,000RPMs. Just curious as to how other people drive the 5AT.
What do you mean let it shift at? My car usually shifts at about 2500-3000 city, highway, we have some nasty merges here on highways so my auto has pretty actually pretty damn close to redline, quite a few times.

Well, even though it's an auto, you can control at what point it shifts through pedal pressure. When I'm driving normally, I keep pressure on the pedal up until it reaches 3,000RPM, then I let off like 1/16" to let it shift, and then I put a small amount of pressure back on the pedal (when I say keep pressure I don't mean like lead-footing it lol). I do this to keep the car from revving past 3k but still be able to get up to speed by trying to use all of the car's low-end torque (however little there is, lol). I know it sounds stupid.
I keep forgetting that this is strictly an off-topic thread, so if you could send me a PM, I'd appreciate it. We should have a thread dedicated to mechanical small-talk, lol.

I'm curious myself. The thing is that I just don't know anyone that has a Cobra that I could do a run with. How much power do those cars have stock? I'm sure my fat ass Accord is definitely heavier.

390 HP, 390 ft-lbs and right around 3780lbs for the convertible I had. 0-60 was right around 5 seconds.

I guess he has money to burn. I'd rather waste my money on parts that actually make my car faster, hookers, and drugs. Fucking amateurs. :

I believe that's feathering the throttle no? Letting off when you want it to shift, get back on the gas soon as its in gear. Sort of "forcing" the transmission to shift there. I don't do that shit, when I need to get on it, it downshifts so I can get the extra power then shifts when it wants LOL.

Really? Was it built? Because this thing is a monster supercharged 6.2 liter v8 doing 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 200+...
