Just to vent for a minute, because I have no one else...The anticipation is getting to me, 20 days to go until my daughter is born. You think 20 days, that's a long time. Well she looks like she's going to have her any minute now, every day it's a challenge because of her mood swings, sleepless nights, everything is hurting and swollen. And not to mention my son decides to act up at school and at home and every damn morning he decides he doesnt want to do a damn thing other than sit and watch tv, regardless wether or not I spank him, punish him or anything else you can think of, he just sits there. Most of you know me as a kidder, well at home I run a tight fucking ship and when my own fucking son doesnt mind me, it really pisses me off, he of all people should mind me, listen to me, do what I say but he's only 7 so should I expect that of him? And I'm not sleeping because she's tossing and turning every minute, she gets maybe 3hrs sleep a night. All this and the baby isnt here yet, it's only going to get worse from here. I'm just wigging out because this morning blew up in my face and work is just shitting in my oatmeal lately. I pissed my mom off last weekend too. Things are just going down the shitter, but I have a baby coming so that's a plus. It's hard to think of the brighter side of things when most of them are not. what time do you get up mike & occupation necessary for such an early rise?

I'm generally up before 5. I'm a systems analyst for a large Retail company, I'm generally at my desk prior to 7:00 but, I like to be up before work to read the paper and chill out. I like the morning it's peaceful and quiet.

I've never experienced this exact set of problems but, in my experience if you are not getting enough sleep smaller issues tend to snowball and become larger because your reactions and mood may be affected because you are tired. Is sleeping on the couch for one night an option just to get caught up and refresh your self for the next 20 days. I'm no doctor but, maybe a good 6 or 8 hours sleep will help the situation at least a little.

Mike, I normally get about 7hrs a night just the past few days have been brutal. I was actually watching transformers 2 last night until 11, wifey kept calling me, wanting me to go to sleep. The worst part is dealing with someone who's not had enough sleep. I'm taking this Friday off to GTFO of the office/hours and away from the fam to recharge myself. But you're right, things tend to snowball..
