Drove by the river in town on the way to work. I got out of the car to look over the bridge, and the water was about 6 feet from the top. I might not be able to get home this afternoon.

It actually wasn't that bad this morning. The usual areas weren't as flooded as I expected. I also drove past the national guard in my town. I'm not sure what they were doing, but it seems like yesterday would have been a better day to have them around.

According to the national weather service the rivers in my area haven't crested yet. Supposed to be sometime this morning. I guess that means the worst is yet to come for us.

Somebody throw out like the top 5 or 10 SUVs/Wagons (something bigger than a sedan) that are safe and reliable. I'm looking at a few SUVs but they have CVT transmissions, I hear these are shit. Need some guidance, you can pm me if you like.
