Well guys, I have a confession. I test drove the most amazing car I have ever driven and fell in love with it today, I have driven a lot of cars too. My Dad Grandpa and I took one of our common trips to the Lexus of Nashville dealership. We have been looking at the newly released IS convertible. We had driven an IS250 sedan as a loaner, but never a 350. Needless to say the 250 was quite disappointing performance wise. So we decided to take the IS350C out for what turned out to be about a 20 mile test drive. We all three drove it and that car is amazing. It is easily the most diverse car I have ever driven. It is a wolf is sheeps clothing. It is quiet, smooth, comfortable, and according to my research is faster than a Corvette C5. The power is just crazy, I can only imagine the IS-F. I didnt drive it spirited because the dealership didnt know I was driving it, 18 year olds arent there favorite customers, but my Dad did. He went WOT from a stop light and it was to 70 before any of us knew it. Then merging on I-65 it was to 90 before we were even in traffic. I expect there to be an IS350C in our garage in the near future, as we were all very impressed. It would be a nice around the town car for my grandma opposed to the LS460. I also expect to have an IS350 sedan as soon as I can, it'll be a while for sure. Just thought I would share the word. Here are some quick pics of the one we drove:

Too bad those IS350's only come as an AT.  Kinda lame to have the more powerful car with only an AT and the less powerful version available with a MT.  It's pretty ass backwards.

Yeah I know. I've never understood that nor have I ever seen a MT IS250. I'm not sure how many they make. I did enjoy messing around the paddle shifter though. My only complaint is it Thinks it way is better so it won't always shift how and when you want it to. Even in the IS-F is an auto, 8 speed at that. I know both the C63 and M3 come with manual gear boxes why not the Lexus.

Yeah, I dont like the convertible near as much as the sedan, but the car wasnt for me. I think it looks awkward from the side and back. I have a feeling the sedan would drive the same and if not faster would be just as fast. Also, there were only 350C's on the lot, so there was no sedan to drive besides a 250. There was a 08 Accord Coupe V6 6 Speed, it looked like ass but Im sure it wouldve been fun to drive. My dad wouldnt ask to drive it though.

So what do you guys think of this CX7? My brother is trying to sell his Grand Touring model, I'm thinking if I can sell my car soon enough I'll buy this. It's got the same engine as the Mazdaspeed 6. Going to get the wifey to drive it, see if she likes it. If not I might drive it. It's a nice family vehicle for those long trips to FL.

And no flaming either, I want some serious opinions.
