Being a mac user and a big fan of the iPod touch, I would prefer the iPhone over the BB stuff. To me, it's easier to use and more intuitive than the BB I have. I just don't understand why you have to put different settings in liek 10 different places.

I don't like BB either. HTC has a lot of free software and things of that nature. I like the open source concept. I do however like my Ipod touch alot.

The main reason why I'm drawn to the iPhone is because it would integrate well with my computer and other devices.

not to be the bearer of bad news or anything.. but there is no way that the iphone will work on a verizon network. not unless they come out with a CDMA based iphone. right now they use the GSM network.. whereas verizon phones use CDMA. these two networks are completely different.. so, no, jailbreaking the iphone will not unlock it to a CDMA enabled network. sorry.
I also just read that apple's contract won't run out with at&t until about 2012 since they signed a 5 year contract.. this is ofcourse heresay, but whatever.

I'm willing to wait. I've already waited long enough for one. By then they should have a better version of the iPhone anyway.

Maybe the full capabilities of the network arent able to be used but I've seen it work right in front of my eyes even as recent as a couple weeks ago.

I'm willing to wait for a newer iPod touch. I have a 1st Gen 32gb touch that I'm content with for now, but I definitely want to upgrade in the future. I may just hold out for Verizon iPhone though.

I hate using my iPhone as an iPod. I connect it to my h/u via usb in my armrest and I forget it all the time. I put it there when I used a regular iPod, but I dont have it anymore. I have begun to use bluetooth. The sound quality isn't as good, but it is wireless. I just need to buy a nano or something for my car.

Having multiple iPods is always good. I keep 2 in my car at all times. One is for music and one is for video.
