Depending on what kind of shoot yall are goin for Fairfax is good for nice office buildings and parking garages.  For a nature shoot if you head past our house on 66 then there's plenty of naturey places to shoot.

sounds good. I haven't done a nature shoot with my ride, you should show me one of these days or you know a landmark there in particular?

I dont know a particular landmark.  I just happened to see a lot of stops coming back down 66 when Ashley and I went to Luray back in February.  Just like you've wanted to do Ryan we can do a Skyline meet on our own one Sunday everybody's available.

I really want to do our skyline meet and if possible, I wouldn't mind covering at least 30-50 miles of it too. We should do it on a sunday when your off so we can get you back in the meets more often.

The DSLR is good and its bad . It takes amazing shots of things at home like family, pets, and other stuff. as well as people and things at work. But when it comes down to my car, its very very difficult to make the car look good, like the way it does with my P+S camera. like I'll get a lot of blurryness or the flash just makes it look fake, then I turn off the flash and all you can see are the wheels. I'm still trying to figure it out and I'm not giving up on it. If anyone else with a DSLR can take amazing shots of their ride in the forums, then so can I.

I think it gets better now because you'll think those twisties will never ever end so its gonna get tense while your driving, especially if you never been there before.

i'll be in NYC all day saturday (taking a bus trip up).  Going to see a bunch of photography exhibits, art gallerys and such.

it'd be best to either get up early and meet early when the sun is still low in the sky, or later in the afternoon.

have you reset it back to default?  you may have a white balance issue, or the shutter speed is too slow (causes blur).  Try having your apperture (f-stop) wide open (smallest number) and your shutter speed a bit faster.  I'm not sure of all the features you have on that camera, but most dslr's have a white balance option.  did you get the owners manual with it?

whenever i make it to another meet, or if you wanna join me and juls if we do a shoot next weekend, i can take a look and give you a few pointers maybe?

you'll get the hang of it for sure..  you're right though, anyone can use a DSLR, but it's a bit harder to use one properly.

well I've tried different modes and I dont understand the manual exposure mode much yet, so whatever suggestions I can take I will keep a note of. the actual physical owners manual did not come with up, however I have a pdf form of it at my desk. Its a Sony A200 for your information. Fuggin camera is hard though, but I received lots of cool points by people at work seeing me wear it on and made a couple of bucks or two in my travels.

^ yea next weekend is probably a better idea..  school is kicking my ass lol.  but ryann if you're down for next weekend then we should do it.. juls makes a great point about the red, black and white..  it'd be a great shoot, not to mention helping you out with the manual mode, so you can get that sony to it's full potential.

this is a poster i made for the musical film I'm in.  just to give you an idea bout some of my "skills".  i've gotten better lol.

sounds good. I'm gonna need some miles to 'break in' the ported heads and cams so a trip down there would actually be beneficial to me, aside from the camera tech help. for a second I thought the dude in the poster was you and I just remember you do the behind the scenes work on this play.
