yeah i got the v6 mt pads. Still waiting for them to come in. I will post pix once everything has come in and I will make a DIY for everyone who is curious and what to learn how to do a brake change.

Brake change is very easy. Just remember to always lube up the slide pins.

However, I'm a little iffy on the caliper part. I've never seen one close up, so I don't know what exactly it means when to push the pistons out or whatever. Plus I don't know what the slide pins are, lol. Everyone has to start out somewhere, I guess. Once I get a good look after taking the tire off, I think I'll be fine.

Also, are there any torquing specifics on the bolts? The above DIY has some specs, but I don't know what specs it would be for 7th gens. Some things I need to get at this point is some lube (not sure what kind, maybe someone could clarify?), some of that anti-squeak for the shims, and an impact screwdriver.

Jeff, the DIY provided by the 4th gen Prelude is very similiar to that of our Accords. As for the pushing the pistons, I suggest using a piston depresser tool. That way you are depressing the caliper piston evenly. The lube you will need is a "silicone brake lube". The guide pins are in the pad bracket. They retract back and forth when the piston pushes the pads in and out when you brake. Before depressing the caliper piston, remove the master cylinder cap. More and likely, the brake fluid will overflow out of the master cylinder.

The tools you will need for changing out front brake pads on our Accords.

Ratchet (your choice of 3/8 or 1/2)
12mm socket (if using a ratchet) (caliper bolts)
17mm socket (if using a ratchet) (pad bracket bolts)
12mm wrench (if not using a ratchet)
17mm wrench (if not using a ratchet)
Impact Screwdriver (for taking off the rotor hold down screws)
Hammer (use with impact screwdriver)
Brake Cleaner
Silicone Brake Lube (for guide pins)
Anti Squeek Spray (optional) (to prevent brake squeek or squeel)
Caliper Piston Depresser Tool (to depress caliper piston)
Phillips Screwdriver (putting the hold down screws back on)
Plastic or Rubber Deadblow Hammer (if rotors are seized on the hub)

I believe that covers the tools needed for the front brakes.

Mine are supposed to be here by the end of next week hopefully. I hate broad shipping estimate dates. I went with Akebono ProACT pads as well.

Got my rotor and oil filter today sooo heavy. Oil filter were 9.99 + free 2day shipping with prime or 6 bucks without. Rotors were ~46 + free 2day shipping with prime.

Thien, there is a difference in the 6mt coupe and 6mt sedan too right?  do you have any way of finding out if the coupe calipers would fit the legend rotors?

There is a difference between the 6MT coupe and 6MT sedan. The 6MT coupe has a bigger rotor as stated before at 11.8 while the 6MT sedan has the same rotor as the 5AT V6 at 11.2. I wouldn't know if the coupe calipers would fit over the legend rotors. You might want to ask other members that have done the Legend GS caliper setup.
