Amino acids are great, what they do is shuttle protein to your muscles. The more protein your muscle receives, the faster it recovers. As far as leucine, no clue. I know L-carnitine turns fat into energy. For L-carnitine I get whatever's cheapest bc I take a lot of it. 1500mg 30 minutes prior to a workout. For bcaa, I use scivation xtend. It's an awesome product and tastes amazing

Sweet, thanks Country.
I ended up fucking up by saying fuck it and getting the GNC brand today. I figured since it has amino acids and that carnitine and stuff, it would help a lot more. But once I got it at the store, it was apparently $62.99, not the $50 something that I misread on the website. I also read reviews on those websites you said, and it's not enough to make a difference. So tomorrow I'm going to take it back, get the ON brand, and probably order some L-carnitine separately. Or if they don't let me return it, I'll just live with it. After seeing those websites, GNC is a ripoff. Oh well, live and learn.

Yeah I learned my lesson that way as well. Having L-carnitine in a protein powder doesn't really do much for you unless you use it as a pre workout. As for the separate L-carnitine, take 1500 mg 30 minutes before a workout. Also, I don't know what your schedule. I workout after work. Look into a smart shake bottle. It has powder storage and pill storage

As of right now, I work out at 8am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. On Mondays I do biceps, back, and shoulders, on Wednesdays I do legs, and on Fridays I do chest and triceps. I also do abs on all of those days. Before each workout, I run a mile on the treadmill (ideally I would like to be able to run on the track, but I have shit endurance). I usually have a scoop of protein powder before each workout, but I'm going to start taking the carnitine before and the protein after once i get this shit returned.
Only problem with this workout is I haven't noticed anything after a month. In fact, I feel fatter around my gut. So I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm a noob when it comes to scheduled exercise haha.

Borderline shitty if you ask me. Mornings usually consist of oatmeal and/or yogurt, but on Tuesdays and Thursdays I get a 6" ham egg and cheese sub at Subway, because of my early as fuck class. Lunch is the worst for me. I usually end up eating out at like Jersey Mike's, Chipotle, or other various places, due to me having class like right after working out. Then for dinner I do shake 'n bake chicken or pork. I've started eating black beans and rice too. I've pretty much answered my own doubts about my weight loss; I just need to stop eating out. I also need to stop drinking soda. Way easier said than done. I could make my own lunches, but I usually end up underpacking, and I'll get hungry as fuck in an hour or so. I really don't know what to pack besides a sandwich, and maybe yogurt.
I also just ordered this L-carnitine:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bodybuilding-supplements/l-carnitine.html
Buy one get one free ftw! I'll start taking 1500mg before workouts like you said, Country. Also just got my stainless steel shaker cup in the mail today. Now my weakest link will be my diet.

Man 70% of it is the work you put into it in the kitchen. Natural undated almonds are an excellent source of protein. And you can usually buy them pre-packaged. Two of my meals at work are emerald 100 calorie pack of almonds and either Quaker plain rice cake or apple slices(I'm lazy and buy the pre sliced apples). It's tough to get over the initial hump of dieting, but once you get in the routine, it becomes your lifestyle. I'm pretty sure in one of the plans on bodybuilding.com there is a college kids plan that gives tips on how to eat during the busy schedule. Generally you want to eat every 2.5-3.5 hours. It literally takes me 8 minutes to scarf down almonds and a rice cake. You can do that while walkin to class. Also, you should be drinking at least a gallon of water a day. That actually aids in weight loss because your body can function properly when it is adequately hydrated. What I do when I'm craving a coke is mix 3 scoops of xtend into my gallon for flavor and drink it all day(raspberry blue, it's amazing).
Jeff, if you or anyone needs motivation or tips or anything y'all are welcome to shoot me a text. The only times I won't respond is when I'm in the gym

Haha I really want to print it out and plaster it on the walls of a "gym" I went to the other day. we now have these corporate gyms here called planet fitness. Their claim to fame is a "judgement free" environment, and 1 dollar down and 10 bucks a month. Great business plan because everyone wants to workout at a nice place but no one wants to pay for it. On monday, they cater in food for their members(pizza or firehouse subs or panera etc... Yeah HEalthy haha). Well MY buddy texted me the other day and wanted me to workout with him. He is a bit of a clutz so I agreed to on a day I dont work with my trainer. for me it was arms day so I was wearing a shirt I had cut the sleeves off,(I'm big on mind-muscle connection and watch my muscles work so I can tell I am doing it right.) and was cut a little down the sides(not much). Well, they required me to change shirts because my attire was not within their dress code. We get in there and get warmed up and my buddy decided he wanted to work chest so I entertained the idea. We were on a flat bench doing dumbbell press and I was going pretty heavy. I am use to working out at a mans gym where you can throw things around and no one cares. So when I reached failure to avoid injury, I drop the weights. Well, they sounded a siren. My next set, I do the same thing and an employee comes to me and says they are going to have to ask me to leave if I require them to sound the siren one more time... Disgrace of a gym. One of my favorite things to do when I work my shoulders is to do Side Lat raises with chains. The gym I use has chains provided for this and I sling them around. loads of fun.

It sounds like Their reasoning is that they don't want you distracting other members. That gym is for prissies. They have a commercial here where I big brute guy says "I pick things up and put them down" as he's getting a tour of the gym. Till they kick him out for being to working out. The siren thing is stupid. That's makes it stand out even more. I would go back just for the food.
I want a firehouse sub.

I'm not a member there thank god. And they make floors designed to withstand the impact of weights and cut down the noise.

It makes you look ripped when you smash the weights on the ground. Just sayin'. It's gotta add at least another 50lbs to each dumbbell!

I mean when you are laying on a bench with two 60lb weights and you've pushed your chest to failure it's advised to throw the weights down so you don't hurt yourself
