I don't know anything about motocross, but all I could say is be careful out there, I've seen some races in person and that shit is no joke.

There's a few bikers here but they ride super rockets. Ask Kevin or Dave...
However I think that type of bike is a just money down the drian. You'll have to store it all winter, can't ride that shit in the streets without being chased down by every officer in the heights. Dude do something to the Accord with that money.
If you happen to get it anyway, call me I love riding dirt bikes

STAY AWAY FROM KTM.... They pull like a mofo and ride great but parts are hard to find and they are a little more dificult to work on If you go with honda Go with a cr125 or 250 or if you want a 4 stroke go with a CRF 250R if you are wanting to get into moto. I had a Suzuki RM 125 when i was in hs and i loved that bike i still miss it. Are you looking into new or used?
And Piero, You can too ride in the winter that is some of the best times to ride especially when there is snow on the ground

I ride motorcross. I've got a 03 Yahama 250 and have loved it, no issues whatsoever. I dont know about you guys, but I ride year round. But wouldnt riding in NY snow be more fun?
How much do you weigh? I'm 6'3 210 and the 250cc fits good, the 125cc is for smaller riders IMHO. But for a 125cc (depeding on how new) a few yrs old I would pay $1500-$2000 and for a 250cc your going to pay at least $500-$1000 more. If you go for a solid older 125cc just to tool around on you shouldnt spend more than $1200. But hell I havent been in the buying game, they might have went down in the past yrs.

Isn't the Ninja a street bike? I think David is looking for a dirt bike.

Lol hey, it's a motorcycle thread, and I posted about my dad's motorcycle.
I derailed the thread from dirt bikes to street bikes, then to FNG smiting. lol

kawasaki is only good on off road for street bikes they suck ...thats my opinion but i was checking in craiglist and dudes are selling 2003 125cc bikes for about 2gs which is a lot compare to the years and abuse these bikes take ... if i wasnt in school i wouldve been able to afford a new bike and pay it slowly but hey lets see what i can get

I disagree. Kawi are very capable streetbikes (more honed in for track use) that is if you upgrade the suspension.
I used to have an 05 Kawi ZRX1200. Basically a naked detuned ninja. Dont let the 'detuned' fool you. It'll pop a wheelie in 5th gear
Yeah david, 2g is alot for a 6yr old 125cc bike. Although thumb the guy 1200 and see what he does.
