So i'm going to an eighth mile drag strip this weekend with some buddies and had a few questions.

What is a good rpm to launch at? We're talking 5mt K24 with only a AEM CAI.

What kind of time should i be aiming for?

Mid 16's in the eighth mile? I'd put him in the 10's. 6500 is also too high of a launch but it also depends on his tires.

I was kidding. Forgot he said 1/8th mile. Yeah mid 10s sounds about right. Honestly, I think around 4k rpm would be a good start. All depends on how you feel launching it.

if i launch at 4k the wheels just spin, i launch between 2-2.5k and get no spinning or wheel hop.

well it appears the trip to the track has been postponed. hopefully we can make it out in a few weeks. thanks for the tips everyone, i'll post some vids eventually once we get out to the strip.
