1  K Series Performance / Engine and Drivetrain Performance / K24 AT --> 5MT or 6MT Swap on: July 17, 2009, 06:31:06 AM
I'm at the point where I either am going to trade my Accord in on something with a manual, or start putting money aside for a swap.  Does anyone know what all is involved and how hard is it?  Is it something I could complete?

I've done a few on some front clip Celica's and a couple civics, but they weren't nice cars to begin with.

Is the pedal swap involved, what about the shifter?  How much would i be looking to pay someone (who knows that the fuck their doing, because if they didn't i would do it) to do something like this?

Thanks guys.
2  K Series Performance / Bolt Ons / Stock piping diameter. on: July 14, 2009, 06:56:05 AM
I know this has already been talked about (at least on the old Gen7), but what's the stock diameter piping?  I'm thinking about going back to that size that's why I ask.  I remember it being a little over 1.75"?

Does anyone think I would get some of my backpressure back simply going from 2.25" to 2"?

EEEK I wish someone had chimed in sooner, but DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A MAGNAFLOW.

You mine as well order a REAL muffler online and have someone else install it.  Order one that is designed for your car!!

For anybody wishing to do this modification, a few words of caution...The coolant lines running through the throttle body serve an important purpose.  They provide essential heat to the Idle Air Control Valve to keep it from sticking in cold weather.  If you remove the coolant loop from the IACV, you run the risk of having the valve stick on cold days.  This will make your idle fluctuate and the car will sound very ill.  You may attempt this mod if you live in a no-snow state, but I still would not recommend it.  I have not done this mod simply because I don't want to get caught with my pants down when the cold weather comes around..

Skip, there isn't any cold weather in flori-duh
5  K Series Performance / Engine and Drivetrain Performance / Re: 2.25 or 2.5 exaust on: July 13, 2009, 04:03:11 PM
On a side note, I have 2.25" exhaust and am thinking of going back to stock.

Low end torque is just completely gone and i'm sick of it.

If anyones in the Augusta, GA area and wants to swap 2.25" and TWO resonators and an Apex WS2 for stock exhaust or something similar, hit me up.

Sorry I just can't see the purpose of chop/cut/weld on a K24 or even J30 based platform.  There simply isn't enough power (or any, for that matter).

I have had my Ralco's on for nearly a year and have yet to have any issues either.  Nearly 25k miles and going strong.

I have a 255W (the 2 car kit one)...I have the suction cup mount in my lower cubby and my gf uses the weighted dash mount in her Sonata.  It's a great GPS I think you'll love it.

Really a bad situation, but honestly I don't think the economic stimulus checks or company bailouts are a good idea.  What are we going to do, continue to dig our children deeper and deeper into debt?  Debt debt debt, that's all the US is anymore.  When is the rest of the world going to realize that and step in and take over our country.

I wish we could do something for the workers, but if the domestic car companies can't stay afloat on their own they should be allowed to sink.  I agree with the chapter 11 bankruptcy, it's a far better idea than a near $100 billion dollar bailout.

On the same subject of stupid liberalism's, Obama's plan to give us $400+ a piece in tax relief is absolutely fucktarded.  What a stupid liberal.  Jesus.  Do you think giving everyone $20-40 a month in tax relief is going to make ANY difference in the economy in the big picture?  FUCK NO STUPID.  Thanks for putting my daughters taxpaying future in even more jeopardy.  Mine as well bail out detroit too.  *sigh*...

I know this is a fairly new site, but once we get everything looking spic and span (ie: header, entrance page), we should update the meta tags and search engine submission.

Also, Tim...you may want to set your nameservers to private. At the moment, anyone can get your name, addy, phone, email via the whois.net (its public information if you don't set it to private). Also, looking at your info on whois, looks like this site is hosted by 1and1, i use them as well and i know they provide the "private" setting for free. Just go to your domains and you can set as private.

I'll offer any help that I can, but for the time being I'm super busy with school and also trying to set-up my cycling team's webpage. Shoot me a pm or email if you have any questions though.

+1 on the meta tags.  However, you don't think that would attract noobs?

On that note, I think we should have the same activation process as the original G7A.  It keeps out spam (for the most part, except for the guest forum), and it keeps lazy noobs and their "do these fit" posts out.  However, I think meta tags are important too.

Also, I understand that Tim is very busy so if anyone else could jump on the ball and start designing us a  better  banner, that would be sweet.  No offense to the maker.

Don't forget the Cusco type 1 and type 2 underbody braces.  http://www.racinglab.com/culoarmbar.html

We also have those control arm braces, although I do not have a link.
