1  K Series Performance / Bolt Ons / Re: How To: Install Headers on: January 07, 2015, 06:57:39 PM
I understand this thread is old, but  believe it or not after reading it I kind of got more confused. I just want to clarify some things if you guys don't mind. The car is an 04 K24 accord sedan, and I'm hoping to install TSX aftermarket heads. So what I'm not too sure about is the following:
The headers will bolt up fine, but they are too long so you'll need a shop to cut and weld? But where exactly will they need to cut and weld.
You will need an 02 sensor extension?
Comptech is the best brand to buy?
Can you reuse any gaskets or will I need to buy new ones.
If everything else regarding the exhaust is stock can I do this mod, or will I need other exhaust parts as well. Only mods I have are the TSX IM, K&N intake and Intake resonator delete.

Thanks guys, looking forward too and I appreciate all the potential answers.

I don't think you can remove the rear deck cover without first taking our the seats and side pillars, but I've been wrong before.

If you can wait another hour or two, I can post up a PDF of the instructions to remove all of that.

Thanks Jeff

Thanks for all the tips and advice everyone, sorry i took so long with the pictures, had a busy day.

So when they slipped out of my hand they slid down the area where my finger is, I had thought that they just fell through and landed in the trunk but they didn't. I  have a magnetic pickup tool like someone mentioned but theres no way i can get it in there.

You may have to get one of those bendable magnet stick things and poke it around where the bolt fell.

This should definitely work and is a great idea, thanks Jeff.

Now for removing the rear deck cover is the only thing required to unscrew those two screws and just pull it off? Thanks for all the help guys I appreciate it.

If you have no idea where they went and it's your car, it's going to be difficult for anyone here to figure it out without the car in front of us.

Well I was hoping some of you guys would know what I'm talking about since we all have the same cars, most of your are more experienced then me, and because I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one to ever change the rear speakers. But thank you for your helpful advice.

I'll post pictures in the morning, I had hoped that they just fell through and landed in the trunk but they didn't, so they're caught in a pocket somewhere. I can't believe this hasn't happened to anyone else before  Sad

I installed two new rear speakers, however when removing the old ones, a couple of those 8mm bolts slipped out of my hands (butter fingers I guess ) they slid down somewhere in that area near the speaker that I can't  see and can't reach. I thought it wasnt a big deal so I just got new ones and installed the new speakers, but now I can hear the bolts that slipped away sliding around when I drive and it drives me crazy. I have no idea where they are or how to reach them so any help will be greatly appreciated. I'll try and post pictures in the morning.

I have this stuff, use on the my black rocker panel because I have an lx, like others stated it only last for a couple days them goes back to looking like crap, I have better experience using meguiars natural shine protectant. It's for the interior I know but works just as we'll for the black trim in the outside too. At least it does for my side panels.

Wish I had time to help you while I'm in LI in a few weeks. I'm just gonna be too busy though.

It really isn't hard to do. If you can turn a wrench, you can definitely do this.
I've read the guide so many times I have it memorized lol I'm just worried about accidentally ripping the TB gasket upon removal, I'm not sure what is meant about removing the studs on our intake manifold and putting them on the tsx, for some reason I just can't comprehend that step and etc. idk I just don't feel confident in doing this lol but thanks anyways appreciate the fact that you would help if you had time!

I'm not a mechanic by any means, but I'm not complete ignorant when it comes to working on cars, however when it comes to doing this I just can't. Maybe this too much to ask seeing as how I just joined but is there anyone in the LI, NY or even NYC area who could help me do this? I have the manifold in my trunk for about 3 weeks now. If you want compensation for your time I'd be more then happy to oblige.
