i cant be happier with my car than ever....it feels so good having the extra power the AT was holding back, i been driving it for alsmost two weeks and no signs of any kind of trouble.. i do have a really big issue i dont have reverse lights..
have fun with that style of clothing and the humidity here in SFL tim...its going to be a killer especially with the beaming sun. you will have to drink a beer everyday just to cool off.. where will you be staying by?
you would of blown his doors off with your beast Tim...i so need a tsx 6peed tranny to lower rps on the freeway to cruise at lower rps for better gas milage.. with the five speed trany on fith on the freeway my rps are over 3+ and it feel like im wasting more gass
ACT doesn't make clutches in "stages". Which ACT pressure plate to you have. They have the sport, heavy duty, and xtreme. That's what really would be making your pedal so stiff.
yeah tim, im running a Heavy Duty pressure plate.. i also forgot to adjust the pedal travel so i woulnt have to push the clutch all the way dow to get it in gear.. i also have to change out a bad axel on the pass side other than that it is running hard....
a lil road tale from today... a c240 v6 03-05 try showing off and guned it..i was like lets see what this 5 speed is all about... down shifted to secound and floored it on his ass till he gave way still trying to push it hard.. i put it on third and starded pulling on him hard.. the guys face was priceless when i told him it was just a lil 4 cyl
Ok guys the swap is officially done and driving like never before...the clutch pedal feels really hard tho, not sure if the act stage two clutch needs to brake in.. I feel like my leg is being worked out
Well today I attempted to change out my hid set in my lows and the freaking fucking bulb doesn't fit snug like my previous kit. So I ended up swapping back just my old bulbs until I can figure out what to do. I needed to change 1 ballast anyway since I got a flickering effect in my DS every now and then. I tested the H11 bulbs to make sure they fit and they do so I will be doing hids in the fogs as soon as I find some time. It got dark on me tonight
billy just use the orange O ring from your old hid bulb in the new 9006 hid bulbs you got.. that should do the trick, also make sure they didnt sell you 9005 instead of 9006 bulb
@tim: your beast is bad ass, mine is just getting there ...i found also a TSX motor but the guy wanted too much mula for it.. ill just wait till my motor really blows, for now ill just put the other long block for sale and get atleast $300-450 for it so ill be good not sure if i want to swap my motor for just another accord motor so decided to just ride it out till it goes or atleast another year.. also the motor that i got with the tranny today was left with the head exposed to the elements wich did not look too healthy for the motor.... Main reason i decided to hold off on the motor swap and just go with my original plan and just make the swap over to MT..
@Z: Well thanks to you guys i pulled my pants up and grabbed my two nuts and decited to take the plunge... you should be welcoming me all over againg to the MT boys club.. i cant wait till is all done.
ill be looking into rsx-S clutch tomorrow, and picking up the OEM RSX flywheel for a HID kit..lol is that a good deal
ok so today i pulled all my parts for the swap that is going to happen on monday.. i cant believe it is actually happening... lol i cant wait till monday to be here.. i found a RSX S flywheel on craigslist that i will picking up tomorrow..
nothing to my sedan, but i did take out all my parts for my MT swap on monday.. cant wait, also i need to scource out a rsx-s flywheel because i dont want to use the heavy accord one..i took everything from a 06 lx sedan..i left that thing with nothing on.. i also got lucky and was also able to take the ac fan to replace mine thats going bad..
